I've done basic stats up to MSc level but looking to develop my understanding more.

@fitzr1189 I don’t think a rich country is better. They have villages and communities in Eastern European communities. The only way it would work in a western country is if they squatted in a ghost estate or something. Or lived in caravans etc.

Also, we get very little value for our tax, which is a bugbear.

The only people seriously impacted by inheritance tax are those inheriting significant sums of money. 97% of people pay €0. 1.5% of people pay <€26,000.

You also pay 0 if you are living in the property you inherit, regardless of the value of it.

@ExCllrRedmond Not sure if it will work or not, but Singapore is one of the most advanced and functional places on the planet and it also banned short term lets.

It creates other issues (eg people need a short term let for short work stints or relocation period).

@RianDolphin I think with a lot of developments around token billing, there’s probably a bigger shift to using cheaper models for trivial tasks & saving token heavy models for complex tasks.

I’d like to see some independent experiments.

It kind of shows that you’re not someone currently in the rental market looking for somewhere.
