@kathypom54@mercerboy if any part of the back of his pivot foot is on the rubber then they can be considered in the wind up. In high school if he has at least a spike on the rubber then we consider him good.
@RobertJMalone@balkwhisperer@mercerboy I believe the hybrid rule was a temporary thing but no longer stands. The rule is now interpreted if any part of the pitchers heel of pivot foot is on the rubber then he satisfies the wind up req
@OffyUnfiltered in the video the base umpire waves his hand in front of his face after making the out signal to reverse the call. unsure why he would be using that for justification. Maybe he's trying to say his view was blocked and then plate umpire had a better viewπ€·ββοΈ
@balkwhisperer he puts his hand up in front of his face I'm assuming to signal that maybe he was blocked and couldn't see something. But that hand motion in front of his face is the reason why he changed his call and I can't really interpret what he meant by it as of now.
@balkwhisperer he's only allowed to change it if his partner gives him information that he did not already know.. in this situation if the base umpire thought fielder was off the bag which is why he called him safe and then the plate umpire confirmed that she was not off the bag.
@MichaelMHanna similar high school story of @BarbeBaseball71 this year (#9 Nationally) that had a 36 game winning streak, 34-1 regular season record, but then lost two out of three games to Dutchtown who went on to play in the state championship final
