Exciting news for Markham Vale and Staveley
Proposals for the first phase of a new waterside development in Staveley have been submitted for planning approval by Derbyshire County Council.
Councillor Tony King, Derbyshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Clean Growth and Regeneration, said: “We’ve put together proposals for an exciting new development which will help to bring jobs to the area and boost the visitor economy.
Entries to win the plaudit of having submitted the Photo of the Month are welcome from everybody working or living around Markham Vale or whether you are visiting the area. All types of subjects are welcome all that is asked is that they are taken around the Markham Vale area.
This month’s photo was submitted by local resident and keen ecologist Mark Radford with the caption ‘Scarlet Elf Cup at Hall Lane Ponds. This is the first time that this particular fungus has been seen at Markham Vale.
