1000 days of Ukrainian resistance. 1000 days of loss. 1000 days of horrific russian war crimes. 1000 days of pain and tears. 1000 days of fighting despite everything. 1000 days of standing with Ukraine!
To those calling for peace:
Everyone—except Russia—wants immediate peace. No one wants it more than the people of Ukraine.
But let’s be clear:
Ukraine didn’t instigate this war. Russia did.
Ukraine isn’t escalating this war. Russia is.
If Russia stopped attacking today, the war would end today. But for 998 days, Russia has chosen to increase the violence, relentlessly pursuing complete control over Ukraine.
Ukraine wouldn’t need advanced long-range weapons if Russia wasn’t importing North Korean troops and artillery, as well as Iranian drones and missiles.
The power to end this war lies entirely in Russia’s hands but for 998 straight days, they’ve chosen escalation and terror over peace.
That’s the only reality.
“We now see every site on Russian territory where these North Korean soldiers are being gathered—all their camps. We could strike preemptively if we had the capability—long-range capabilities—and that depends on our partners.
But instead of providing this necessary long-range capability, America watches, Britain watches, Germany watches. Everyone is simply waiting for North Korean troops to begin targeting Ukrainians.
Everyone in the world who truly wants to prevent this Russian war against Ukraine from expanding and to stop this war from spreading beyond Europe to other regions must do more than just watch. Action is needed. Words about the unacceptability of escalation and the spread of war must be matched by deeds.” — President Zelensky

Today and every day. Ukraine is not some geopolitical chess piece or a proxy or a buffer. It's innocent people dying every day under Russian attack because the most powerful democracies in the world refuse to protect them.
The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games is taking place right now. Beautiful and successful.
Only one thing is missing: the 487 Ukrainian athletes who were tortured, raped, and murdered, during the russian invasion war.
I want to honor their sacrifices today and pay my respects.

@SamsungMobile Russian “neutral” Olympians, funded by the Russian Ministry of Defense, are not individual athletes? They are military personnel, justifying actions against Ukraine. Stop #bloodyolympics https://t.co/Bk05CuJReg
Ukraine should be allowed to defend itself in accordance with international law. The airfields from which Russia launches these terrorist attacks cannot be safe havens.
All the air defenses in the world aren't enough--and even those are being withheld. Ukraine must be able to strike the Russian launchers of these attacks, wherever they are. Stop putting limits on the victim and giving safe zones to the aggressor.
Twin horrors: 1) Russia bombing a major children's hospital as part of its daily terror and murder campaign against Ukraine. 2) The free world having the power to stop it and refusing to.
