@arocxo Mental health nursing vacancies are chronic. Understaffed regularly but management can't recruit. Planes full of nurses heading to Oz I'd imagine. Resignations are common now. Nobody resigned when my mam nursed in the 80's, 90's and 2000's.
@IrishRail Waiting almost an hour n clontarf for a DART to Malahide with zero updates. What the hell is going on? Bloody joke. Trying to get out to see Blur.
@rtenews I've looked after women as a psych nurse who had their lives destroyed by mother and baby homes and magdalene launderies. The bishops can keep their opinions to themselves.
@psychpolis I'm moving within the same CHO and I've to start all this nonsense again. Marriage cert. Birth cert. Garda clearance. Get my degree cert from college. Infuriating! No wonder there's so many vacancies. You'd wonder why you bother.
@Independent_ie The best thing I ever did was spend the first 6 weeks of my kids life at home with my wife. I had some paternity leave and saved my hols. Nice one though Lorraine 👌
@BrianLeonardFR I work as a nurse in psychiatry of later life Brian. Lots of dementia. The cruelest slow end of a person's life. The absolute indignity of it. The public haven't a clue what its really like. I hope I'll have a better choice when I'm older. You take care.
@scusemegirl I was qualified 7 months and ended up as nurse in charge for a week. 20 patients in a secure mental health unit. Zero craic. Mind yourself. The health service is so fucked.
@RuairiTraderIRL @meadhbh1997 @DonnellyStephen I'm a nurse. The pay is shit. Rosters are a disaster. Understaffing constantly. Working 80 to 100 hour weeks in this day and age is a disgrace. The HSE couldn't care less.
@arocxo 100% true. We'll have no staff left at the current rate of emigration. Sad to see my younger workmates leaving but I don't blame them in the slightest.
@SenanByrne @newschambers I was on intern pay for months even though I had qualified and had got my registration. So I was a nurse on €10.50 an hour. Had to beg for my backpay. Absolute joke!
