The dangerous thing about the deal (at least as it was initially described) was that Saudi would do enrichment w/o signing onto the IAEA additional protocol. So, in this case, no domestic enrichment would be the much safer option.

And here’s my hot take that will make everyone mad: Netanyahu is a war criminal and he should be prosecuted and spend the rest of his life in prison. New York is also the seat of the United Nations and just as we shouldn’t have arrested Arafat we should maintain the norm of allowing world leaders to come to the UN. It’s unsatisfying and it leads to some profoundly unjust and infuriating results, but changing the norm could lead to much, much worse ones.
