Welcome to the 2022-2023 class of PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacy Residents!
๐
Residents were welcomed at New Employee Orientation in early July and have been busy learning the Wake Way this month.

We are excited to see what this year has in store for this group. #WakeMed#RXResidency
Incredibly grateful for @WCPSS & their generosity over the past two years allowing @ncdhhs to store COVID-19 testing, treatment & PPE at their warehouse & volunteering to help with distribution across the state.
"I wouldn't be able to do the job I do here if it wasn't for the teamwork." Leaders & team members share their thoughts about our learnings & experiences about delivering patient care during #COVID and what "Our Next Chapter" looks like. https://t.co/PEF4hLF6YZ #HospitalWeek

With views expanding as far as the eye can see behind him, @DukeRegional clinical pharmacist Mark Vestal stopped for a picture at Glacier Point in @YosemiteNPS on July 13 during his Duke Time Off.
โThis #DukeTimeOff trip allowed me to relax and clear my mind,โ Vestal said.
On August 19 Governor Cooper signed S.L. 2021-110, which expands practice authority for certain pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. More at https://t.co/FU0gj9uL0r
Very proud of our graduating class of Pharmacy Residents at Duke University and Duke Regional Hospitals. Thanks to our Program Directors who maintain the highest standards in clinical pharmacy training, patient care, and leadership development. Congrats, all the best Residents!
@ASHP_EMPharm No one should be using 1 unit/mL concentration for high-dose insulin therapy. The heart (even a healthy one) canโt handle that much fluid. That being said, it takes a collaborative effort to safely stock another concentration of a high-alert med. Prepare ahead of time.
Tomorrow we'll be hosting a walk-in vaccination (Pfizer) event at Wheels Fun Park (715 N. Hoover Road in Durham).
No appointment necessary!
Share this post and add the event to your calendar to help spread the word!
