There is a difference between who people hear and who people know.
Mark Madden shares how his radio persona was shaped by wrestling, polarization, and understanding how to make people react.
Love him or hate him, he knows how to make radio work.
But when the microphone turns off, there is another side people may not always expect.
The lesson is simple.
Presentation matters.
And in media, knowing the game is different than knowing how to perform.

“This is about legacy. This is about which man will control the industry right now and shape it for the next few years.”

Heartbreaking: Ndamukong Suh says a $200,000 NFL salary isn't enough to live on because it comes to about $100,000 after taxes.
“Let’s just bump it up to $200,000. You’re living in New York or New Jersey, you make $200,000 and you cut that in half, that’s $100,000.”
“But they’re expecting you to live like the superstar that’s making $40 million a year.”
Suh only made 168 million in his NFL career.
This is so weird to me. Wrestling is a scripted TV show. Why is ESPN doing Kayfabe coverage now? You can cover wrestling without acting like the storylines are real.
Just like in sports, there are injuries, contract negotiations, discourse, etc. This way sounds dumb af.
I have no doubt about 4 things:
Mike McCarthy is a thoroughly good man.
Nobody ever wanted to coach the Steelers more.
He knows that the logo is bigger than he is.
He knows the expectations and won’t try to subvert them.
For those reasons, I feel good about the season.
@MarkMaddenX It’s a fresh start. Like you said, it’s a dream job for him. He understands the history and tradition of the logo and won’t try to make it about him.
