Nostalgic memes spread misleading messages, like:
“Once, families could own a home & send their kids to college on one income.”
But the homes were smaller.
Most kids didn’t go to college.
The memes ignore facts.
We give them to you:
Mamdani balanced NYC’s budget with non-NYC taxpayers’ money - and called it socialism.
He’s running the city-owned grocery stores with a private company - and calling it socialism.
In public he says socialism means democracy and dignity for all - which sounds nice but means little.
None of those are socialism.
His stated end goal - seizing the means of production - is socialism.
He’s marketing things that aren’t socialism, to sell socialism.
And socialism has failed every time.
Dear socialist friend,
Nothing is stopping you.
If collective ownership works so much better, you can prove it by next Tuesday. Pool your savings with your comrades. Elect a planning committee. Run a bakery, a farm, a repair shop – shared ownership, equal pay, decisions by vote. All of it is fully legal, today, everywhere in the West. No revolution needed.
And yet.
You want the workers to seize the factories – but you won’t open a food truck with three people from your group chat. You demand collective housing – but you won’t sign a joint lease with people who agree with you about everything.
People have tried voluntary socialism for two hundred years. The communes keep dissolving – the members simply walk out. The only socialist countries that lasted were the ones that locked the borders.
That’s the whole story. Where leaving is allowed, everyone leaves. Socialism only survives where leaving is banned. The people voted – on foot.
Just do it. Or admit that "collective" was always just a word for other people’s property.
The top 1% of earners already pay 40% of all federal income taxes.
The top 10% pay more than 70%.
The bottom 50% pay just 3%.
So when politicians start talking about “fair share,” the real question is: fair by what measure?
Abdul El-Sayed and the rest of the “eat the rich” crowd aren’t talking about income taxes. They’re eyeing wealth taxes — going after what people already own.
That’s not closing loopholes.
That’s rewriting the rules after the fact.
Tony Robbins argues that the reason most people fall short of their potential has nothing to do with a lack of talent or ability.
The real bottleneck is something far simpler and far more powerful.
He puts it this way: “The Holy Grail between somebody taking action or not is one word: certainty.”
You can possess massive potential and still freeze in place if you don’t truly believe your effort will deliver the outcome you want. The sequence is straightforward: potential feeds belief, belief drives action, action produces results, and those results either strengthen or weaken the original belief.
When certainty is missing, the cycle turns destructive. Doubt leads to half-hearted effort. Half hearted effort yields weak results. Those weak results then get interpreted as confirmation “See, I told you this was a waste of time. I told you this wouldn’t work.” Belief shrinks further, action shrinks further, and the downward spiral accelerates.
The same mechanism works in the opposite direction. When you generate genuine certainty that a way forward exists, your sense of what’s possible expands. You take more decisive action. Better results arrive. Those results reinforce the certainty. Momentum builds.
This is why Robbins insists certainty outranks motivation. Motivation can spark a single burst of effort. Certainty keeps you moving long after the initial excitement fades and before the proof has fully arrived.
He points to Roger Bannister as living evidence. For decades the four-minute mile was treated as a physiological barrier. The moment Bannister broke it, the barrier dissolved in people’s minds. Within two years, dozens of other runners did the same. Human physiology hadn’t suddenly improved. Only the shared belief about what was possible had changed.
That’s the real cost of treating something as impossible. You don’t merely forecast failure, you reduce the action you’re willing to take, and in doing so you manufacture the very outcome you feared.
DSA leader gets sued for eviction while living off his rich dad’s $1.5 million townhouse.
Gustavo Gordillo, co-chair of the New York City Democratic Socialists of America, is facing an eviction lawsuit after stiffing his landlord on three months of $2,500 rent for a Crown Heights apartment.
Court records show he moved in while a $1.5 million Brooklyn townhouse gifted by his wealthy father underwent renovations.
He skipped payments, paid a lump sum after falling behind, then fell behind again.
The landlord sued for the unpaid balance. Gordillo never even filed an answer in housing court.
This is the same activist who rails against landlords, property ownership, and people making returns on real estate.
His own family bought the townhouse for under $1 million in 2019 through an LLC. Its value has risen sharply. While the renovations happened, the socialist co-chair rented elsewhere and treated the rent like an optional suggestion.
The pattern is familiar. Preach redistribution and class warfare. Enjoy the benefits of private capital when it is your own family’s. Then fail to pay the working landlord who actually provides housing.
Hypocrisy this blatant should not surprise anyone who has watched the DSA operate. It still deserves to be highlighted every time it surfaces.

Walmart just got nearly $3 billion dollars from the government in tariff refunds
The refund is due to the February Supreme Court ruling declaring many of President Donald Trump's tariffs illegal
“The government is working to refund $168 billion to about 330,000 retailers Walmart says it has already received most of the money”
It ruling invalidated tariffs Trump imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act
The retailers don’t have to pay a single cent to any customer who bought items. So they got to charge more and then get a refund getting extra back
Zohran Mamdani has been mayor for 231 days and this, if manifested, and without hyperbole, will be the most radical act of his tenure by a long shot.
Please allow me to break this down:
He is about to spend 70 million tax dollars on 5 government run grocery stores (notwithstanding Aldi' making clear they could open 5 stores for a fraction of that).
Those five stores, run as they will be on tax dollars every single month no matter how full or empty their aisles will be, will be able to operate at a loss in perpetuity, and offer groceries for 30% less than their competitors.
But because no private grocer could possibly compete with a government competitor undercutting them by 30%, they will all inevitably all go bankrupt.
Mamdani's solution to prevent their bankruptcy? Give those private grocers tax dollars for them to compete and thereby make up for the 30% shortfall that...HE CREATED.
Succinctly: the government spends tax dollars to create an insanely bad problem. Then, to solve the problem that THEY CREATED, the government spends more tax dollars.
Utterly insane.
🚨 Border Czar Tom Homan just DROPPED this line, and every Democrat should listen:
"This girl fought to stay alive. LISTEN TO THAT TAPE, THEN TELL ME YOU JUSTIFY WHAT YOU'RE DOING with sanctuary cities."
"I'd ask every [sanctuary] mayor and governor — Newsom, Mamdani, Hochul — I want YOU to listen to that tape of that m*rder, LISTEN to that girl [Laken Riley] fight for every breath. Listen to the terror in her voice."
"You can't square that."
Perfectly stated, @RealTomHoman

Thomas Sowell on welfare:
“What the welfare system is doing is paying people to fail.
Insofar as they fail, they receive the money. Insofar as they succeed, the money is taken away.”
The same logic applies to schools: fund failure, cut funding when they improve.
This is not compassion. It is subsidizing dependency.
DiJonai Carrington vs Sophie Cunningham
Carrington: NFL dad, private Christian academy, prosperous San Diego sports + ministry family
Cunningham: Contractor dad hit very hard by 2008 crisis, public high school, Missouri farm work & humble brick house
Who came from privilege?
Today’s action is a victory for common sense and American small businesses. @POTUS promised to cut red tape, and this final rule delivers. Treasury is eliminating a burdensome reporting requirement for millions of law-abiding business owners without compromising our national security.
In 1998, Serena and Venus Williams said they could beat any man ranked outside the top 200 in the men's division.
So, little known and 203rd ranked men's player Karsten Braasch took them up on the challenge.
Braasch after a night of drinking and smoking with zero practice, destroyed Serena 6-1 and Venus 6-2 in straight sets.
The Williams sisters are the greatest female athletes of all time. And they barely made Braasch break a sweat.
It wasn't because Braasch was very good. He wasn't.
But, as a male, he possesses biological advantages even the best female athletes can't compete against.
That's the very reason we established women's sports to begin with.
To even the playing field.
That shouldn't be controversial. And you shouldn't need a biology degree to understand it.
Of all the things a plant has ever done to a person, oxalate takes the biscuit, and it lives almost exclusively in the foods you were told to eat more of.
Not the chips. The spinach, the almonds, the sweet potato, the beetroot, the rhubarb, the buckwheat, the chia, the dark chocolate, the turmeric latte. Every one of them a health food. Every one of them the thing somebody switched to when they decided to sort themselves out.
Oxalic acid is a plant defence and it binds minerals. That is the trick. It grabs calcium, magnesium and iron in your gut and walks out with them, which is why the iron in spinach never did anybody the favour the cartoon promised.
What it does with the calcium is where it gets interesting. Calcium oxalate is a crystal. Sharp, needle-shaped, and your body has no enzyme for it, cannot break it down, cannot burn it. Around eight in ten kidney stones on earth are made of the stuff, which is the one bit everybody knows and treats as the end of the story.
It is only the bit visible on a scan.
The crystals do not stay in the kidney. They deposit in soft tissue, and a human being is largely soft tissue. Joints. Thyroid. Blood vessels. Muscle. Eyes. Bone. Which is why the symptom list is such a shambles: aching joints, gritty eyes, brain fog, burning when you go, unexplained fatigue, that pain in one hip three physios have failed to account for. Nothing that ever points back at a green smoothie.
Then the bit where people fall off entirely.
The body offloads it. Stop eating spinach and almonds daily and the deposits come back out, and coming out hurts. Rashes, aches, cloudy urine, a joint that lights up out of nowhere, weeks or months into eating properly.
So somebody goes carnivore, feels magnificent, then gets a flare and a sore knee and decides the meat did it. Goes back on the smoothies. Feels better in days, because refilling the tank stops the emptying.
The relief is real. The conclusion is completely backwards.
That is the con. The one plant compound clever enough to frame the meat for its own crime, sat inside the exact foods a person reaches for when they are honestly trying to do the right thing.
Popeye should have been drinking the milk.
A familiar act of mainstream media sophistry: work backward from a partisan verdict and then call the result analysis.
The truth is wages are up for Americans across the distribution, but importantly earnings growth for Main Street workers at the 25th earnings percentile was 5.5% year over year in the latest data this past quarter—more than three times the growth experienced by workers at the 75th percentile. Median weekly earnings also rose a robust 4.6%, well outpacing inflation. This marks a stark improvement from the loss of purchasing power Main Street Americans experienced during the Biden Administration.
Families have not forgotten the pain of Biden-era policies. But President Trump is turning the tide. The fact is, lower-wage workers are leading, median workers are gaining, and the pundit-driven K-shaped economy narrative does not hold up.
BLS has published the wage data for all to see, including journalists willing to look past the haze of their hostility toward the President.
