@Serenityokayyy I also believe social media is a big "windowing shopping platform" now. There are so many advertisements of what you are interested in. Also, in my eyes, the social part is dming your friends memes you see or texting them if that is their preferred platform.
I firmly believe that TikTok can change people based on their interests and what they want to dive deep into. TikTok cant be subjectively better or worse for the majority of people. It is like every other social media account in my opinion. #BeachSMC

I can see how this is a good business move from Elon. I also see that they are more up-front about advertising on social media apps. Such apps like Instagram, advertising may be free by following some rules. So this is a 50/50 on how good it is. #BeachSMC

@Jake_Boland2023 I also agree that outright banning all Chinese apps is a drastic change. Some businesses may be using the app as a form of communication or sales. I think the best way to handle this is to do a security check or create a median with the developer.
Some users may feel like they are being de-platformed by Elon's changes. I think that if they really cared about their accounts then they should be able to adapt to changes. Either leave or continue using Twitter being mindful of new policies. #BeachSMC

There are positives and negatives to everything you do in life. In my opinion, it really depends on the person themselves and how they perceive their life choices. I would say Tiktok has had many positive/negative impacts on society. #BeachSMC

@ximenakortiz Yeah, I agree also, with having someone come with you. Also, it would be smart to have that person identified before you go on a date. This could be like video calling them, and making sure you are not getting catfished. #BeachSMC
Another great business plan by Elon Musk. He is really holding everyone at bay for using Twitter. I personally think that those who really need API-based operations will see this as a lost. But for regular users, this does not apply to us. #BeachSMC

I think that this is a great business opportunity that Mark Zuckerberg is copying Elon Musk. It does come with great benefits, but with such a high price tag. I believe that the benefits in my eyes are not worth above $10 a month for it. #BeachSMC

@jade_waskom The process of banning Tiktok for concerns about US citizens' privacy is a good step. Yes, it is a Chinese-made app, so we do not know much about its security measures. But we should also take a look at small businesses and how they grow their business on the app. #BeachSMC
Moving the twitter platform to open source could help out Twitter with bug fixes and community contributions. I personally really like open-source apps because it gives the users more insight into the build. #BeachSMC

This article lets me see to me how much social media, especially Tiktok, can affect some people. I would have never thought that an app for entertainment can be trusted for its contents. When learning something you do your own research. #BeachSMC

@uhleeeesuhhh Watching these videos are really entertaining. Some of the things they do seem made up for the camera. It is a little scripted, but some of the things they do are very beneficial. I can adapt some things people do for their routine since it can make my life better. #BeachSMC
I firmly believe that social media usage is very subjective. Many may think popular apps may be dying, but maybe certain content is on TikTok. These apps will always have an audience; for ex. some may use Instagram as a photo book. #BeachSMC

The way Instagram is approaching this situation is pretty smart. They are not advertently deleting peoples' accounts based on one negative comment. Instead, they let their system learn who is continuing to go against its guidelines. #BeachSMC
