It’s fine if game doesn’t resonate with you- video games are interactive, immersive art and the experiences they offer are subjective to the player.

However, being pretentious about your film noir taste and being upset that you didn’t play “Chinatown” featuring Mice is kinda wild.

The game is a satirical love letter to classic film and animation- and I’ve already had people express curiosity about the references as I play through it. A game that inspires people to research media and expose themselves to entertainment history is SO important for the long term health of media literacy. And it’s clear the devs did the homework and studied the genre- they just want to have fun with it, which according to this reviewer is GASP! Not allowed.

Unfair reviews like this stop game studios from further developing other similar projects. Reviews like this dissuade people from playing and investing in it. It’s irresponsible, because it’ll kill unique experiences in favor of upholding paid review slop. Shame on you, IGN.

I want new ideas on the game market. I want exciting aesthetics and art styles that are inspiring to spend time in. I want the new generation of gamers to be exposed to different ways of storytelling.

So, go play Mouse PI for Hire. Look at the reviews of all the gamers who are LOVING it. Because it’s that gouda 🧀❤️

I’ve been pretty quiet this year for a couple reasons..

I have a lot on my plate daily which is very welcomed, it’s good to be busy and have dreams you are putting into place with action.

I’m working on a more positive mind frame and things I’m excited about creating.

I’m getting physically healthier which I’ve dedicated 2025 💯 to and it’s working. Still have a ways and it will be never ending, but just grasping ahold of this new lifestyle feels painfully amazing to really focus on. ☺️

Then there is also something very important to me moving forward.. I’m not going to have a knee jerk reaction to everything I see or feel when it comes across my news feed.

Right now, we don’t have a shortage of people speaking so I don’t feel the need to add to the conversation especially when I’m in a current state of listening, watching, learning, healing and growing.
It’s ok to not react when you don’t feel like you have a solid grasp of the situation, situations we have no idea how deep they go. I know it’s chess not checkers and people might be playing the long game. It’s ok to be still, watch and listen.

So many of our lives took a pretty intense turn the past 5 years and we are just now starting to get our feet back under us. Hold onto that balance, it is vital.

I love the scene from the movie The 13th Warrior with Antonio Banderas where he sat with the 12 Vikings for months by the camp fire as they spoke a their language he didn’t know and then once he had learned their language, he surprised them and spoke their language back to them earning their respect. Great scene.

I also understand a lot of people make a living online because of their knee jerk reactions and then there are a lot of people who have a lot better grasp and knowledge or theories on these situations I’m interested in hearing, so I’m not hating on how people choose to interact or react.. I just want us people to think thoroughly and rationally as I am trying to do myself. Not always easy.

I want us to be a healthier society who has intelligent conversations and show healthy emotional outlets so that the next generation can see that in us and add that to their plethora of incredible talents.

Current status learning to listen, listening to learn. Balance is healthy.🩶

I write this for the people who are feeling the same way. Big breath, you’re not alone.
