@ExJew33 This doesn't say that there was a mistake. It says that the speeding was small (which is irrelevant - speeding in pit lane is speeding), and that it was maybe in error (which is unproven).
Her pinned post is about (J.K. Rowling-style) women's rights, but she attacks a woman on irrelevant appearance.
And to her point that is is about her "role", the PM's wife doesn't have a role.
Maybe a journalist should know that.
The PM's wife doesn't have to be beautiful, but my god, could she at least try to look like she takes her role seriously? I have only seen her looking unkempt and in weird clothing that doesn't suit the occasion, with crazy hair. It feels disrespectful.
He turned off comments. I guess that shows what people think of his perspective.
And I've gained so much respect for Carolina fans during these Finals (and honestly, they were pretty classy in the ECF).
For those of you who don’t pay attention to hockey. This is Carter Hart. He was falsely accused of sexual assault. The judge didn’t find the accuser credible and acquitted Hart.
The media doesn’t think he deserves a fresh start, and North Carolina fans chanted “No means No” in Game one of the Stanley Cup Final.
Yet the media defends repeat violent offenders being released again and again from prison.
Make it make sense.
@ianb1547 No idea, but some teams have already said the penalties were real, and the after race calibration check came back fine.
Apparently drivers were taking a tighter entry, but I don't know why that's new to this year.
@RivaChianti@PierreGASLY That's on his team (not the race officials). Especially after the first penalty, you need to communicate to avoid more penalties.
@annikadevils Credit to Edm for making the Finals in back to back years, but if you look at all the top picks they had over the years, how poorly they've developed talent, and that they couldn't surround McDavid and Draisaitl with the talent to win a Cup, Edm doesn't know how to build a team.
Just a week after Canada appeared to enter a technical recession, employers added 87,800 jobs and unemployment unexpectedly fell to 6.6%. Employment rate rose making it the first significant employment gain since November 2025. The economy may be weaker than policymakers would like, but it remains considerably stronger than economists expected.

For Goldstein, it is "peak Canada" to use the correct terminology?
To point out that there are areas of weakness in the economy is valuable.
But to be upset that you can't falsely use a term (or, in Poilievre's case, to complete misuse economic terms), is silly and harmful.
Peak Canada
Whether it's a recession or a 'technical recession" (which apparently isn't a recession) the story is that the Canadian economy is weak and people are suffering.
Too soon to call recession, rules Canadian authority on economic downturns https://t.co/uhqxJHLlRt #nationlnewswatch
@haroldnotsack Honestly, it really wouldn't be to Canada's detriment. First, Hoekstra has played almost no role at all in Canada-U.S. relations. Second, whether there is an ambassador or not, the two countries would continue having discussions.
This morning, Pete Hoekstra, @USAmbCanada, used his official account to push the 51st state idea.
He's downplayed that in the past, now he's pushing it.
If this is what he believes, perhaps it's time for the Carney government to ask him to leave.

@JefferyPetts You struggle with the difference between "should" and "will."
If I had said that the government "will" do it, then my view would be a fantasy (in this case).
But there is always value in pointing to what we "should" be doing. We should always try to find better paths for Canada
