@BarronTNews_ I live in Canada but travel to the US almost weekly. In both Texas and Florida, my two last trips, food and clothing were both noticeably more expensive. Housing in Canada has always been expensive, because we don’t have access to cheap labor, like the US used to before ICE.
The US economy is in a hiring recession.
Almost no jobs have been added since April.
Wage gains are slowing.
710,000 more people are unemployed now versus November 2024.
November +64,000 jobs
October -105,000 (impacted by shutdown)
September +108,000
August -26,000
July +72,000
June -13,000
May +19,000
I believe it's a combination of tariff impacts, AI, and cost cutting. Americans are feeling it. #jobs
@stayfreeCanada2 I think the word you should be using would be to invade. How can anyone support that? It’s illegal and contrary to any reasonable doctrine. It’s frankly insane to even consider it.
@JuliusRuechel I agree it’s not a good look, but knowing this has been happening across the country all week at every sporting event, what MORON put a 15 year old there in the first place?
@truckdriverpleb I suggest you turn off Fox News and read up on a few facts. Google “1 Billion in border security”, and “Where does my oil and power come from?”
Every year, LCBO sells nearly $1 billion worth of American wine, beer, spirits and seltzers. Not anymore.
Starting Tuesday, we’re removing American products from LCBO shelves. As the only wholesaler of alcohol in the province, LCBO will also remove American products from its catalogue so other Ontario-based restaurants and retailers can’t order or restock U.S. products.
There’s never been a better time to choose an amazing Ontario-made or Canadian-made product. As always, please drink responsibly.
@fordnation Now is the time to call on the Grocers. It’s time they pay it forward a little. They should be asked nicely to seek Canadian products and non-American products. They should take a more margin on American products and less on Canadian products. @GalenWestonJR over to you.
@JonathanDunnett@ruffoloj Firstly it was living in a bubble. Now complacency. Then, arrogance and stubbornness. Two term limits are there for a reason in the US.
The real problem here is we need great people in the finance department who can actually count. Hopefully the new party has a few.
