So I’ve published a critique of Tom Wright’s ubiquitous ‘five-act play’ model of biblical theology (creation, fall, Israel, Jesus, church/new creation). Despite its strengths it has become a bit theology-by-numbers, so here’s a take on what’s wrong with it

And last, it encourages us to be fixed and prescriptive about elements that appear in Scripture in poetic or figurative ways. The risk is of thinking we know all the big answers, rather than being on an intellectual pilgrimage.

@simplepastor Yes, probably, and redemptionist individualism, and so on��� But there are good bits, too, praise God. That is the beauty of liturgy: you can confess what’s true and not just what rhymes and fits the tonal hook!

There are *massive errors* in this and the comments that follow.
1. Cancel the CofE's involvement: that's an immediate increase in costs to the taxpayer, not a reduction. Church schools are subsidised by the CofE by 20% of capital costs. Remove that, and watch your tax rise!
