@HMRCcustomers After spending a few hours trying to get my refund I completed a complaint form because it was getting very frustrating, can this complaint be cancelled?
@HMRCcustomers I complete my Self Assessment online and I am due a refund but as I live abroad I only have my UK passport to identify myself. I've had this problem before several times. Do I have to call the UK because I've only got limited telephone credit?
@HMRCcustomers I think I may have succeeded using the telephone app and using my passport. I have a message saying 'This message confirms HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has received your request for repayment. HMRC aims to issue your repayment within 2 weeks'. I hope this works
@HMRCcustomers Request a online repayment does not accept non-UK addresses. I ONLY have a UK passport, I do NOT have a UK driving licence. I had have had this problem before. Last time I waited 40 minutes to speak and then spoke for 30 minutes getting a refund. I want my refund now!
@HMRCcustomers I recd a reply email from my agent this morning to say that I will need to call HMRC to give them my bank details for the refund, I tried to call +44 135 535 9022 but I heard message about a 40 min wait but I do not have enough credit on my phone until mid-Dec. Can they call me?
@HMRCcustomers Hello, I think I have made a mistake on my Capital Gains Tax return. Do you suggest I get an accountant or CGT expert to help me? Who can you recommend?
Thank you.
@HMRCcustomers Maybe I can personally telephone the HMRC and give the reference numbers but I'm not currently in the UK and it could quickly deplete my telephone credit.
I will also try to ask the accountant to try to contact you on my behalf
@HMRCcustomers Hello, re my message Sept. 16, I found a CGT accountant who helped. He said I had overpaid CGT and he put in a claim on Oct. 8 to recover the overpayment from you but we have not heard anything from you. Also they have put in a complaint on Nov. 14. Can you please advise? Thanks
