That is awesome to hear, what do you think about hybrids? I think that having both available gives you greater flexibility when travelling, for 1 in case you need to get off main road ways you are covered in the event it’s late night, your driving more rural areas with nothing open, having the ability to switch to gas would be a life saver.

About 320 miles full charge for Model Y LR that most have. Super easy along interstates to find chargers as charging network is fully built out now. A lot of stops we make are 10 min charges, others 15-20. Depends on how empty it was and how full you are filling. It's different than gas, gotta do it to understand. Not as bad as it seems or is made out to be. We typically use RR and do a quick lap or two walk at the rest stop while charging and it's about ready. Regarding charging cost, if using at super chargers, costs about the same per mile as gas if a gas is in the upper $3 like it was. However, if charging at home, it's about 1/3 the cost per mile as gas. Yes, it's that much cheaper. So ideal to start road trips full and roll in at home near empty. More nuance: We have 2 vehicles, one ICE, one Tesla. To maximize fuel savings, when going out together within an hour or two radius, we always take Tesla. It's also way more fun when going out. When doing longer road trips, usually ICE car. Not a must, but saves fuel $ to maximize home charging miles given that we try to balance our total miles across both vehicles. That combo and logic works well for us.

And now having used it I feel like it's a completely transformative driving experience and I can never go back to ordinary cars. It's really quite something

I picked up my Tesla Model Y at the dealership today, whole thing took me 5 minutes, popped it in full self driving to see how it would do on busy Miami streets in the rain.

I am not making this up, 10 minutes into my drive a lunatic (this is Miami after all) tried to merge into my lane without looking; the Tesla nimbly swerved and made room. Don't know if I would have been able to react. 70% sure it would have been a collision had I been driving.

BREAKING: The U.S. is now directly posturing for a large-scale attack, with intense Air Force activity across the Middle East and particularly near southern Iran.

At least seven U.S. aerial refueling tankers are operating over the Persian Gulf, while an MQ-4C Triton conducted a reconnaissance flight just hours ago. Iranian media is also reporting unidentified fighter jets over Bandar Abbas, though the claim has not been independently verified.

The activity comes directly after Iran’s Central Military Command warned it had intelligence indicating possible renewed U.S. strikes and threatened retaliation against American bases and interests across the region.

Tankers are surging. Reconnaissance aircraft are active. Unknown jets are reportedly over southern Iran. Tehran is warning of an attack.
