Tarris Reed Jr. is a beast
6’10, 263 lbs with a 7’4 wingspan
Takes over the paint and bullies those in his way. Will make an impact from day 1 for the Spurs while JQ fully recovers from his ACL injury
San Antonio aren’t going to be out rebounded again
The Spurs struggled when Victor Wembanyama was off the floor in the Playoffs.
San Antonio answered this by drafting two defensive bigs that can crash the boards in Jayden Quaintance & Tarris Reed Jr.
Great draft by the Spurs
@sixringsofsteeI Good they need big man that can give wemby a break and give the spurs offense rebounds Kelly Olynyk Mason plumee and Bismack Biyombo clearly didn’t help with that at all
@sixringsofsteeI@unholytrinii Maybe but again the spurs are ready to win rn so having a player who might need to wait for him to recover from a ACL injury especially as a big man is a big risk especially when we saw the spurs bench in the playoffs would of liked Carr at 20 or a less injury prone big man
@SpursCulture Honestly I’ll give it a B- only bc yea at pick 20 the odds of a star are slim doesn’t mean it won’t happen but the spurs needed more scoring and spacing on the bench Carr wouldn’t been better and idk his injury history has to be accounted for but he can be a rotation player
Idk about Jayden Quantance a player who tore his ACL a year ago and didn’t really play much this year bc of knee swelling feel like they couple of gotten more bench help with Cameron Carr or karim lopez maybe taking a chance on a high up side player like him will pay off
@ryanhammer09 Did you watch his draft combine and see why he fell ? He has slow feet doesn’t mean he won’t be a good rim protector but he won’t stop wemby especially when the playoffs come around and teams know he can’t guard the perimeter
