Let's head back to a more western part of Madeira, Vereda do Fanal. This is the home of ancient laurel trees and UNESCO world heritage site since 1999. I really would have loved some fog there. Nevertheless, the panoramic view of the plateau caught my attention just the same. ⁠

I think this might be a Madeiran wall lizard - a species endemic to the island of Madeira. Anyway, at least the pose looked very nice to me.

Just behind me when photographing Ponta de Sao Lourenco (yesterdays photo) was this beautiful cliff at Ponta do Rosto and the view along Madeiras north coast. Such a nice morning up there.
