WOW.
Ukrainian intelligence infiltrated a closed conference at a Russian university in the Kuban region where students were being recruited for the war.
The speaker handed the floor to someone he took to be a Russian soldier. However, it turned out to be a member of the Ukrainian armed forces.
“I am indeed a soldier, but not a Russian, I am a Ukrainian. And I tell you: God forbid you come here, I will have to kill you, every single one of you who signs this contract. Your faces are all copied, just like the rector’s, just like those of the people who just presented this to you, the soldier who told you about it,” the Ukrainian said.
He emphasized that the front line remained unchanged, while “cemeteries the size of two countries” were growing.
@Vankelhane@visionergeo They are not maybe perfect fit for the hypothetical battle between US and Russia, but after achieving air superiority imagine the smell these planes bring to any adversary. There's nothing strategic about it, just pure destruction.
@Nexuist Soviet Agents have confessed they had plans to murder bomber pilots in UK if the cold war were to escalate. So I think it's widespread and proper planning.
@MasterTimBlais My friend visited Georgia. And after n+1 litres of wine, at one point they sent girls upstairs. And then the guys had to confess which one of the girls they laid eyes on and then they had to dance, so a protector or competitor could present counterarguments with their dance.
@GurReptsSohn@Noahpinion PTSD and "good evil" are very loaded concepts. Surviving a traumatic event is always a good thing from evolutionary perspective. Who's a good guy and who's a bad guy is not an evolutionary but a moral distinction.
@MuhalefetSaadet@kamilkazani No one has any rights, you have either wealth, power, connections, sympathy, strength, loyalty etc. Rights are performative and idealistic concept, it doesn't map onto what's happening. Every treaty will be broken, every right taken.
@shankysanghi@kamilkazani Well, the thing is you only own what you can protect, you can sometimes choose one protector over another, and then hope for the best but that's all you got. There is never a voluntary compensation for colonization, invasion, war etc either. That's life.
@elgrandulonfl @Uncommonsince76 CIA was pretty well informed, even that something big was in the works just before 9/11. Bin-Laden had a history of attacking US or it's assets, and every time he did, US withdrew. CIA proposed to assassinate OBL at least once but didn't get the approval
@ChrisO_wiki Ukrainians should milk this weakness, let them plant flags and then reinforcing units arrive wo necessary support. If you zoom out it's basic war strategy ala Cannae all over again. Pincer in the ass is more actual than ever.
@ItIsHoeMath As soon as I saw the spreadsheet I thought it looks like a smth that Ken Wilber would come up with. Indeed, sometimes it feels like he's onto smth, sometimes it feels he's tripping.
Unless a woman develops her theory of mind, this is the default state of her empathy for men. "What does it even matter if a man is raising his own biological children or someone else's?"
The concept of "because he doesn't want to" never even occurs to them. "But I got what I wanted, though. I got him to spend his life on MY child. Who cares if it's his?"
Um... HE does.
"But WHY? I already said I got what I wanted!"
...But that makes men suffer terribly when that happens.
"Well, they should just start liking it instead! I want one man's money and another man's DNA! You should be happy if I'm happy!"
This is how 100% of female minds are born. Not all of them grow up enough to understand that men are people with their own feelings. Even educated ones, as Macken points out.
Of course, men are born that way too... but men reach the "other people have different needs" stage more often than women do.
On the chart, this is the border between "egocentric" and "social" consciousness (level 3 to level 4).
Women often live their entire lives just getting their way from men all the time because they are women, which denies them the opportunity to learn that other people have their own "way" that they also want to "get," and that these "ways" are often not compatible.
So it's not that this woman knows she's hurting men and doesn't care... it's that she has never even had the thought of "but that would make him feel bad."
There are no feelings but hers.
