The handful of Dutch people who follow me here can now do so @MarkV_NL for posts in Dutch. That way I won’t be bothering my English-speaking followers with gibberish, and vice versa.
@BuzzyScotsman@MattWalshShow Well, some certainly are to blame insofar as many of them have a NIMBY attitude to housing policy, and many of them love big government and immigration. But to blame “THE boomers” for the issue of skyrocketing housing prices is painting with a broad brush, in my opinion.
I don’t understand why more people aren’t talking about this. Another dimension to this issue is that people on the lower end of the income scale see their wages evaporate due to inflation, while those on the upper end tend to protect their dollars by purchasing hard assets including real estate, which makes the problem of inflation in that particular market even worse. There’s a reason home values have increased faster than inflation, just like the stock market. This is hardly rocket science.
@fieldcmdr An end to this regime and therefore an end to the worldwide terrorism campaigns, the constant risk of Iran developing a nuclear weapon, and it holding leverage over 20% of the worldwide oil supply. It’s in our national interest to drive them out.
@JohnnyH5643@Cernovich Nothing about this particular outcome was predictable, inevitable, or necessary, and nothing makes this conflict the same as Iraq. It must be comforting having a one-dimensional worldview like yours.
Beege, a belated thank you for this excellent and hilarious post! I very well remember my first time in this country some 27 years ago (😱) and the wonder and marvel that came along with it. Europeans who never visit (including those who visit only NYC) will never be able to appreciate the friendliness, portion sizes, and really the size of everything frankly. I was a wee lad and had never seen anything like the pickup trucks.
God bless the USA!
