Fire and Rescue Service AGM today and good to be back in Dunstable Fire Station in my role as a member of the board. Met with the Chief and several FRS personnel as well as ambulance service crews who are co-located.
Great to see these blue light services well integrated.

Good to be back at Leighton-Linslade’s beautiful White House today, this time for a meeting on the community’s green and blue infrastructure and our access to it. The surrounding villages and their rural parishes are a key part of the town’s access to countryside and water.

An uplifting visit to MKHospital’s new Oak Wards nearly complete and ready to use this summer.

I found the new CT Scanners impressive as is the whole imaging centre and I’m grateful to the excellent work done by the building & install contractors as well by dedicated NHS staff.

Popped into London’s lesser-known St Pancras Hospital today and met some excellent NHS staff. An exiting amount of building work going on too with the modern rising up alongside the Victorian.

Today is the official start of the new ICB, now covering not just Bedfordshire, Luton, MK but also Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

It’s called Central East Integrated Care Board and operates as a single organisation serving 3.5m people from today. Best of luck.

From 8am Monday Sheep Lane will be closed to fix potholes. The road from the A5 Flying Fox roundabout to Woburn is finally to be surfaced after four months of us all having to dodge those terrible potholes. Closed 8am - 6pm from Mon 23 March to no later than Wed 1 April.
