Forgotten Asda delivery crates left on my doorstep on Valentine’s Day. Customer services keep promising they will be picked up by my local store in Charlton. Nothing has happened.

It's always good to try something new! I'll be sampling these attractive looking Prologue session IPAs for the first time when we hit the ‘tippling trail’ at our online Christmas bash.
Available from @HoppilyUK
Sunset in the lovely walled town of Tenby or ‘Dinbych-y-pysgod’, meaning ‘fortlet of the fish’ in Welsh.
I had a great time with the family in #Tenby and #Gower and look forward to returning soon.

I always enjoy peeking at the Thames Barrier from the New Charlton side of the river. Greater London Council overcame a lot of obstacles to get the job done back in 1984. The flood defences have since been raised more than 100 times to protect London

Falling asleep basked in the glow of a softly hissing bedroom gaslight while visiting grandparents in Wales is a fond childhood memory.
Memories of that time are always stirred walking in St James’s Park – one of many London areas retaining gas lights.

@OllieLRogers@BarnesOfBarnes@tombaroli Great pictures... if only I could walk into the old one back in 1896, have a foaming ale and maybe chat about gold in Yukon and the perils of x-ray machines!
I always spare a thought for the souls in this old cemetery when passing.
There’s an admiral who was a midshipman at Trafalgar when 11. Also, a royal surgeon, suffragette, artists, engineers and a memorial to two greyhounds from the old Charlton dog track.

Back in the day, I almost won my university cycling club’s Bent Forks award after somersaulting a hedge hiding a Cumbrian wall. But, as a guest member I didn’t qualify.
But the bigger prize was restoring my spirits later on at Ambleside's Drunken Duck!

I knew the Harvest Home as a private house when my sister and hubby lived there years ago.
We would sup ale in the old bar, play darts and recite poet WH Davies’ tribute to the pub where he took a fancy to the publican’s daughter.

@OllieLRogers Great quote. I haven't seen push-ha'penny for a long while. Although a rarity I still remember seeing it now and again 30 odd years ago...
Jacobean #CharltonHouse looking splendid in the late May sunshine at the weekend.
It was once the childhood home of Spencer Perceval, the only prime minister to have been assassinated (1812).
Find out who peeked into his coffin nearly 200 years later.

Ever supped in an ‘Antigallican’ boozer?
I’ve always been fascinated by the name of this Victorian Charlton tavern which has its roots in the hostilities whipped up by the Napoleonic wars. Several London pubs once bore the ‘Antigallican’ name. 'Last orders' were 2 years ago.
Ladywell in waiting…
I was the only visitor when I stepped on to the platform at pretty Ladywell station near Lewisham today. Close to Lewisham Hospital it doesn’t have too much traffic. Like many stations the service is much reduced. The grade II station opened in 1857.
