1/ This is absolute madness. For three consecutive days, Israeli settlers have been besieging a Palestinian family inside their own home in Qusra, in the occupied West Bank. Yousef Hassan, his wife and their two daughters, only two and four years old, are trapped as Israeli settlers have worked since Sunday to establish outposts directly outside the house. The entrance has been blocked, the electricity has been cut and the family has been denied access to food, water and medical assistance.

Yes, the owner of this house is an American citizen.

For five days, his family has been trapped inside under threat, yet I have not seen a single public condemnation from the U.S. Embassy in Israel or from U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee demanding that Israeli authorities protect this American citizen and hold those responsible accountable.

Does an American passport suddenly mean less when the person carrying it is Palestinian?

ALERT: The West Bank stands on the edge, perhaps already beyond it.

The entrenchment of Israel's unlawful presence and the violence inflicted upon Palestinians by Israeli forces and auxiliary settler militias are not separate phenomena. They are part of the same unlawful enterprise.

כל מי שעיניו בראשו וראה בעיניו את התיעוד של ה״פיגוע״ שקרה בחוות גלעד מבין היטב שעל פניו נראה מדובר בהתפרעות והתגרות של ״מטיילים״ יהודים בפלסטינים.

“There are no Israeli civilians” is not a serious argument, it’s blatant dehumanization.

International humanitarian law is unequivocal: a civilian is anyone who is not a member of the armed forces or an organized armed group taking part in hostilities. That includes millions of Israelis, including children.

Erasing an entire civilian population, including children, by denying their civilian status is utterly indefensible and disgusting.

They launched attacks that brought nothing to their own people except death, destruction, and suffering.

Before October 7, Gaza was far from perfect. But Gaza was not reduced to rubble. Tens of thousands of people who are now dead were alive. Hundreds of thousands who are now wounded were healthy. Around 1.5 million people who are now displaced were still living in their homes.

And before October 8, southern Lebanon was free of Israeli occupation. The villages that have since been devastated by the Israeli military were still standing.

Yet none of that seems to matter to those who romanticize "resistance." As long as the slogan survives, they're willing to accept that ordinary Palestinians and Lebanese pay the price. It's always someone else's home, someone else's family, and someone else's life sacrificed for their fantasies.
