And when I asked again how it’s considered just a normal thing that can happen and not a legit safety issue, I was told that the smoke usually stops once it’s burned itself out, lol yeah exactly cause that’s how all fires work lol @AppleSupport

They know I called 911/FD, but I was told it makes sense that they wouldn’t know about this type of thing and why they’d say don’t bring it back inside, when I asked why the FD said this computer was unsafe to be around but @AppleSupport said it was normal and not a safety issue

@AppleSupport @Apple also refused to issue me a written report of their decision/findings, saying it’s only communicated over the phone and details only sent to employee emails.

Lol they admitted that there was no user damage so they don’t know why it lit up but that “these things happen”. Also they took it apart and won’t even try to put it back together “out of precaution” for the techs but it’s technically not a safety issue for me, as it’s “normal”

Literally had to have any power source removed for it to be examined, but it’s “not a safety issue”. The fire chief said if it relit itself on fire in the car “to throw it out the window and run.”

@AMCTheatres You all should advertise which theaters do and do not do this promotion. The theater near me has stopped doing cameo deals and wouldn’t do this promotion as well. Would be helpful to know for people making decisions of which theater to go to.
