Why do artists even draw people without clothes in sketches? First, it's easier to work out the anatomy. Second, it's easier to see how clothes should sit on a person

But sometimes we get a little too carried away...

@psyolum I get it — the problem of artists who moved from realism to anime. I still unconsciously slip into complex shading from time to time

Phew, finally finished. I thought it'd be a light evening project, but it ended up taking 4 days and one study...

And I don't even know what to do with it. Probably only good for a tattoo...

So this is why I started my tree bark practice in the first place.

I had a bunch of old unfinished pieces on my mind. I started finishing the one with the snake and realized I just can't feel how to draw tree bark properly

Continuing my studies. This time, it’s trees. Honestly, I still haven’t managed to capture the structure of maple bark

If anyone’s wondering where I disappeared:

First I got curious about how physics deals with gravitational singularities at the scale of tiny particles. After digging into it, I ended up at new physics and an epistemic crisis

Then I drew a YCH template and got deep sadness

I decided to try putting up a YCH pose template. While drawing it, I thought I should make an example piece to show what could come out of it.

But the longer I worked on it, the sadder and more irritated I became...

Why is that?
