@lauriewhitwell @TheAthleticFC Wilcox and Co rather get us bottom of the league than to admit their own mistakes.

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@UnitedStandMUFC @SamiMokbel_BBC @sistoney67 @danroan That would be a double blow to Ratcliffe’s wallet. Sacking and hiring a head coach and sporting director. Not sure if penny pinching Ratcliffe would be able to bear that burden

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@Joxter243225 @old_man85579 @JacobsBen Thats how far this club has sunk

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@SullyTalkz @UtdDistrict How can people still say it’s only the glazers who ruined our club. Clearly Ratcliffe and INEOS have a massive hand in this as well. Instead of fixing it, they are accelerating our downfall

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@TheAthleticFC @lauriewhitwell Disgusting really. Again finances over success on the pitch. They care only about their spreadsheets nothing else. NOTHING else.

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@old_man85579 @JacobsBen If they had any form of ambition they would throw the money at Emery or whoever.

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@MartinezYobany1 @UnitedStandMUFC @MKeegan_Overlap Do you actually watch our games?

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

This just tells me how the “front office” actually understands the fanbase.

They can’t even understand what the fans are actually supporting. 🤬

Read the f****** room.

And even if 0% of the fanbase didn’t want to get Carrick sacked, how reactionary is that? Exactly the same as when they decided to make Carrick permanent in the first place.

[utdreport @utdreport]

It did not go unnoticed by the #mufc front office that Michael Carrick received significant support from United fans during and after the defeat to Bournemouth [@RobDawsonESPN, @MarkOgden_]

INEOS promised to fix Manchester United’s decision-making. They’ve made the mistakes more expensive.

Their record:

• Extended Ten Hag’s contract in July. Sacked him in October. £10.4m to remove him and his staff.

• Pursued Dan Ashworth for months. He lasted five. £4.1m spent bringing him in and parting ways.

• Appointed Amorim knowing his system. Then fell out with him over adapting it. Another appointment they couldn’t make work.

• Finished their first full season controlling football operations in 15th, with 42 points and 18 league defeats.

Carrick recovered third place last season. Credit where it’s due. But where was the planning to turn that recovery into sustained progress?

Now: 16th. One point above the relegation zone. Eight games without a win. Beaten 4–1 by Como and 3–0 at home by Bournemouth.

And the response is to give Carrick another chance.

Another chance to deliver what, exactly? What evidence are Wilcox and Berrada seeing that everyone watching these performances is missing?

Whitwell has highlighted that hiring Howe would require compensation to Newcastle. If the cost of changing manager is influencing this decision, what about the cost of another wasted season?

They keep paying to correct yesterday’s mistakes while asking supporters to trust tomorrow’s plan.

Wilcox and Berrada are paid to build a coherent football operation: appoint the right coach, recruit for a clear approach and prepare for problems before they become crises.

How many failed decisions before their judgment comes under the same scrutiny as the manager’s?

At Manchester United, accountability keeps stopping at the dugout.

@CubbardCommando @markgoldbridge From what I’ve heard most of the fans and matchgoing fans were cheering for him as a person and as a clublegend. Not for him to stay on. Either way the board is crap and so are the players

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@markgoldbridge It’s too much. I actually don’t know what to say anymore. How can this keep happening and how are they letting this continue

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@sistoney67 @ManUtd I literally can’t take this anymore, it’s just too much. These incompetent pieces of sh*t rather burn this club to the ground then to admit and correct their own pathetic mistakes

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@lauriewhitwell @TheAthleticFC Wilcox and Co rather get us bottom of the league than to admit their own mistakes.

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@sistoney67 @ManUtd I feel your article is kind of “protecting” him to be honest. Why are you not highlighting the sacking of ten hag, the appointment of Amorim, appointing of Carrick etc

[MarManUtd @MarManUtd]

@cha0tic_1 @ThatsFootballTV Can’t wait the Utd discussion
