It is Values Week at Marsden Heights, and yesterday we celebrated Resilience with an action-packed Sports Day!
Students had the opportunity to choose from a range of activities, taking on challenges and competing to earn points and claim victory for their teams.

It is Values Week and to celebrate Aspiration, we welcomed mindset expert Dr Rosie Mead to school yesterday for inspirational assemblies. Drawing on her experience working with elite athletes, she inspired students to build confidence, resilience and unlock their potential.

The 'This is Nelson' students invite you to their exhibition on Youth Culture in Nelson at 3B Systems, Carr Road.
They’ve worked incredibly hard and can’t wait to showcase their work. Come along and support our young artists!
Culture Day – 17 July! Celebrate the diversity of our school community by wearing clothing that reflects your culture or heritage. Voluntary £1 donations will support local charities. Enjoy cultural music, themed lessons, activities and food!

Year 11: The Youth Futures Team will be delivering Year 11 Leavers Support Events this August, aimed specifically at Year 11 leavers across Lancashire.
Shout-out to our new Positive Voices @MHCC_PVoices
team for helping at the afternoon tea for visitors from the Pendle Palestine Twinning Group. They served food and drinks, represented our school brilliantly, and met the Mayor of Pendle and Richard McSween from PPTG.
Well done to our Year 9s who have completed a six-week boxing programme at Ringside Fitness, Brierfield! They’ve shown great resilience, determination and hard work throughout. Huge thanks to Uwais Majeed for making this opportunity possible.

Our Eco Duniya group visited Lawkland Hall, and met Liz from Ribble FM to record the next episode of our podcast as part of our Champion Species Project.
It was a great day of spotting Curlews, learning about the amazing birds, and enjoying the Forest of Bowland views!
Our Yr 9 Positive Voices Team had a fantastic day at the National Festival of Making in Blackburn, working with Super Slow Way. After a session at the Drift Pop-Up, students enjoyed creative activities, explored the festival and finished the day with a meal together!
