@__scottsaunders You mean his Dad seeing the top 5 leagues littered with Chelsea talent? It’s not all about the pathway to the first team at the club you’re at, it’s about how well the club can guide you to any first team in general (ideally somewhere in the top 5 leagues)
@Kaz_MUFC17@__scottsaunders Which would be… great? It’s not all about getting a pathway to the first team you’re at, it’s about getting a pathway to first team football anywhere. He might feel he’s not getting opportunities
@NiiNiiFC No debate, Haaland is clear of pretty much every striker out there. Might not look pretty at all times but at literally team he’s ever been at Salzburg, Dortmund, City, Norway he’s broken records…
@slbsn ‘Cobham grad’ is more well known than ‘Chelsea grad’ is my best guess. It’s like that with Arsenal too, think most regard players coming from Hale End rather than Arsenal.
@__scottsaunders Think it was to show Enzo F and his side how much City really want him. If they wanted him that much they would’ve done what they did with Anderson. Deal probably gets done with different payment structure now Rodri gone
@Talhaa10_ I swear people just think when teams win trophies they don’t earn money from it to spend either. City winning 4 on the bounce, a treble, getting far in literally every competition all over a 10 year period does unfortunately mean they get to make mistakes in the window..
@StuartParkinson@TelegraphDucker None of those you’ve mentioned were bought from within the league though? Being a Chelsea fan, obviously Spurs continuing to be crap helps but I’m struggling to see how the players they’ve bought are anything like Woodwards for Utd so far except maybe the overpaying bit I guess?
@Georgeaelcy@__scottsaunders Season collapsed as soon as he walked out of his contract though. No one else’s decision but his. He could’ve played it cool until the end of the season realistically, would’ve come out better (still not great ) but better than what ended up happening I reckon.
@Georgeaelcy@__scottsaunders Yeah great we know that now obviously, doesn’t mean he can just walk out of a contract (that he quite happily signed) with no consequence?
@DougieCritchley In fairness, you did take him off invincible winners because prem can pay more and provide more eyes. Can’t have it both ways in football unfortunately
@Joel_CP_70@OlIyCFC Yeah but his point is more that the gap between Milan and Brentford should absolutely be bigger than a 200m net spend over a 5 year period. Like come on, it’s AC Milan
@afcjxmes Agree but Lewis Hall or Lewis Skelly absolutely should’ve made it over Livramento or Spence. No need for two players that can play either side
