Bitcoin dominance is dropping this means Altcoin season is here...
I created a 𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 of the top coins for this Alt Season🏆
If you want access to it, I will send it to over 𝗗𝗠 just:
• 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 this post to show your interest.
• 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 with "ALTCOIN" to confirm your participation.
• 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 to spread the word.
(Must be following)
I would like to take some time to respond to this post as it summarises well how some of you are feeling.
My team and myself are very much supporting the community around LUKSO, and we do that by working every day to improve the first set of tools that make the LUKSO vision usable.
This is a long journey, building software takes time and that is even more true when you invented all the tech stack that is required for it to function before.
What the users sees is a simple browser extension or wallet app, but what makes that user experience possible is an innovation on the smart contract level that is unprecedented.
It is sometimes hard to explain why the LSP standards and the resulting @ERC725Account is a radical shift for the blockchain space, because 99% of its features will only become visible over time when devs build apps and user experiences they simply couldn't have been build before.
You can somewhat compare it to the first iPhone. It had no apps, yet had a better display, but was overall not massively different than the blackberry or other phones at the time. The utility came with the apps, and then people learned why it is was much more powerful and usable than any of the phones before. This made it the default phone in the world today.
Same is with electric cars. they might look the same as any other car, but they are under the hood a complete different beast, which allows for more convenience inside the car and a smoother driving experience than any gasoline did provide before. But it looks some time for people to release that, and now it becomes the default car. It also took years to develop the battery technology and engines, while a new car version today come much faster. The core innovation is what takes the time, not the car chassis, or apps and tools (They are also take time, but less in comparison)
The innovation of Universal Profiles (ERC725, LSP0,1,2,3 and 6) will show over time. And there is nothing that compares with it in the current standard landscape in flexibility, generality and potential.
These standards also go beyond profiles, they will allow for new NFTs (ERC725Y, LSP7, 8), and completely new protocols that take advantage of ERC725Y, LSP1 and LSP2 and many of the other standards we have already developed.
This is very technical and shouldn't bother a user much, but is important for developers and builders. By developer leveraging these standards the blockchain world will be transformed to a more user friendly and social space. Which for the last 8 years (!) hasn't happened, because of EXACTLY these shortcomings!
Until now people used web2 tech to make look web3 user-friendly. These standards use web3 tech to make web23 user friendly. The difference means you can fully own things, while enjoying a good user experience.
But it also means a lot of more things can be done now, allowing for new user errors and ways to trick people. So we have to walk this walk step by step, as the possibilities on your account just 1000x now.
These better experiences and apps do NOT happen over night, and is also not possible to be built by a single team alone. Our team will make sure to build and improve our foundational pieces built on these standards, which will help other developers save time and focus on what they care about 👉their apps.
We will also build apps that are for end users. https://t.co/SAgw8RaWvs is first glimpse of that, and this will become over time a full social network called Universal Everything ✨
But to put things in perspective, we are a ~20 dev team. that defined and builds the:
- LSP standards
- smart contracts
- a relayer service
- a wallet
- an indexer for profiles
- the browser extension
- a mobile app for universal profiles
- the tools for the network (deposit launchpad, migration, etc)
- all developer tools, like erc725.js, erc725inspect etc
- and many more tools needed to make the above all work
You can probably see how this is a herculean task for a team of that size. Therefore bare with us, when things are not going as fast as you want.

You might ask, why are we not hiring more devs?
The answer comes down to cost and finding the right people.
The ETH from Reversible ICO are long spent (which was over 3 years ago), we live of the LYX since a while and that liquidity is determined by the market. So in a way we are in the same shoes as everyone else. Our interest is to be sustainable and able to build these building blocks for a long time, but scale for us only can come when the ecosystem grows as well.
Which brings us to communication.
I whole heartedly agree that we are bad at this. I am personally under water since years orchestration the tech, it is up to other people to orchestrate the communication, which I agree must be (a lot) better.
We recently hired a senior person to help with that and things will hopefully get better at that front. I would personally communicate more frequently, but I simply don't have the time.

One response to the "hype". There has been a lot of theories and statements of upcoming partnerships and other coming announcements for years. People that come new to the community take, what is circulating in the chats as words from us. The truth is that we never communicated many of these things. What we communicated you can find on https://t.co/mAPNmb0lKV
When it comes to talks I gave, where I share my vision of the future and these new standards and LUKSO. Those are my personal perspectives and believes, and then are very bullish. But I don't have a crystal ball 🔮, neither would we be able to predict the future or the market.
If you see LYX as a way to gain money, than you need to understand that crypto is extremly volatile and we do not control the market. The network is decentralized and all we can do is work to make it as useful as possible. You do not need to share my believes and I am not promising anyone a return of investment. You need to make your own decisions wisely, but also understand that over night growth is never sustainable, and not in the interest of the people who want to use LUKSO in the next 10 years as well.

When it comes to "partnerships". Engagements like this develop and take time and are more likely to happen with players within the ecosystem like @dematerialised (and others..), which has been successfully partnering with a lot of brands and bringing them to LUKSO.
But people in these companies need to see the network running successfully and the tech proving itself, before making large moves.
All other blockchains that made "Partnerships" like @0xPolygon, create one offs that no real users ultimately uses more than a day. A good example was the @Starbucks partnership that cost millions and is nothing more than a PR joke today.
Real use takes time, but ultimately takes over...
My personal desire is to create something that has real users and lasts, rather than something that has boom and bust and goes into oblivion.
It is also important to understand that the team that started LUKSO, is NOT the LUKSO the network. This chain is already decentralised (and has been since the start) and run by the community.
Teams like us, who work on the building blocks will help to make the LUKSO vision come to reality, but so can everyone else.
As for my part, I help with the tech, others like @MRJRHDZ focus on the consulting and educational aspect within the creative space. These strengths are separate, but pull in the same direction and thus unfold the larger vision.

As a short statement to the current situation with @leequid_io and @stakingcabin: This is an issue that is completely independent from the @lukso_io team. We are in talks to see how we can help, but it is ultimately on them to resolve the situation.
I am personally ruling a fork out, neither would that be something the community would accept, nor would that be technically feasible in the long run.
