One of the most common pre season runnings is the Box to Box conditioning session where players will start at the edge of the one Box and run to the other Box within 11-15 seconds depending on what the coach decides.
Most times this happens after the training sessions are over and some coaches do it before or in the middle of the session depending on what they want from the players and the programme for the day.
The sets for this conditioning exercise are often not more than 2-4sets of the number of runs per set.

Fans love to see the ball move quickly—whether through sharp passing combinations or explosive ball carries. The challenge for coaches is creating training environments where players learn to accelerate the game without losing control.

Ivory Coast show an interesting setup for their training activation! A well-organised structure that keeps players moving and ready for the demands of the session.
Lateral skipping with changes of rhythm isn’t just for youth development — it’s also used at the professional level. Great for coordination, footwork and movement efficiency.
