@unsereOEBB Weißt du, ab wann Buchungen für den Nightjet nach Brüssel/Paris am 2.1.25 möglich sind? Buchungen für später im Januar sind möglich, für den 2. Januar jedoch nicht. Vielen dank.
@aliceoutthere1 Thank you Alice. I was due to arrive in Imlil this morning for a trekking week and have been reading your books as preparation. Now desperately sad for so many people.
@teamluca@deany75@theanalyst Could do - but would you put the onus on the umpire to call it, or on the bowler to appeal? The first puts more pressure on umpires (already watching front foot/line of ball); the second would be the only time you'd have an appeal for penalty runs instead of a wicket.
@deany75@theanalyst Can't do it, thank goodness. 41.16 - it's 5 penalty runs and a report. (Interesting to compare the two laws: actively stealing a run requires the umpire's intervention, whilst leaving the crease early requires the bowler's intervention.)
@sashers Try approaching cultural institutions directly. They might offer reduced/free rates for images - if the book is being printed in any quantity, the audience engagement often offsets the income. #bookmachine

On the 18 June 1815, The Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon Bonaparte at the Battle of Waterloo. Here @TowerOfLondon we have the 'Waterloo Battery', cannons captured from the French, which now stand in front of the 'Waterloo Barracks' (Jewel House) 💎👑💍
I think it’s safe to say there are worse places for a @Royal_Armouries book launch. Thanks to the Dean and Chapter of @wabbey for hosting in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, @boydellbrewer for producing, and @AnneAgincourt and Susan Jenkins for editing!
I've been asked about book royalties by no less than six authors in the last fortnight, so here's a (4yo) thread by @mollykh to explain the situation. Things haven't improved since 2018 :-(
Great to see the publication of the second volume in the @Royal_Armouries Research Series - on a rather timely subject :-/ Big thanks to all at @boydellbrewer.
So pleased to see this out in time for 600th anniversary of Henry V’s funeral. Thanks to Susan and all contributors as well as to the Royal Armouries and Boydell Press
