Re #le19, I congratulate all candidates in NI who put themselves forward and kept it clean (as vast majority in all parties did).

You have done a service to democracy. It’s imperfect, but as we were shockingly reminded during the campaign, it’s better than any alternative.

The long wait will soon be over

Final tweet before polling. As an independent candidate, my canvassing work is complete. It's over to the voters now - elect me and I will work for everyone in Rowallane, as I have done for Saintfield in the last 9 years as a volunteer. Martyn Todd No 1

As an independent candidate in Rowallane, I support these 5 positive policies for the environment.

[Keep NI Beautiful @KeepNIBeautiful]

On Thursday we will all go to the polls for the Local Elections. We want to urge all candidates to back our #5PositivePolicies to help improve our environment during the next council term #LE19

On Thursday, use your vote and vote differently. In Rowallane, try an independent candidate if you want practical change on the ground.

[Martyn Todd @MartynTodd1]

@AlexKane221b From my canvassing I would say 100% negative attitude towards politics in general, but many saying they are going to vote differently this time. The negativity is mainly towards Stormont and partly Brexit, but will impact on local voting pattern as well as turnout
