Christians in Nigeria should realise that with God on our side, we can do so much from the "little spaces" we occupy.
If we raise men and women who cannot be bribed,
Men and women who fear God more than they fear poverty,
Men and women who take their regular lives and jobs as a worship to Christ.
It was "just a female lecturer" who insisted that the Abia elections were not going to be compromised.
Just one Police officer whom wicked men cannot buy will thwart and frustrate the schemes of evil powers.
Who would have known that Dora Akinyuli would achieve so much for the health of the nation because she couldn't be threatened into cowardice.
We don't need to occupy the biggest offices,
Our influence isn't in the size of the office; it's in the purity of our lives and in our allegiance to our King!
Hello !
You might just need this.
Please Read.
When you work with a leader or someone that stretches you beyond your comfort zone, and truly wants you to be a better version of yourself,
You have no idea what God is doing for you.
My late mentor, Pastor Eskor Mfon was never really
a professional musician per se, but was a great worshipper and one that had an ear for good music.
He would come into our choir room after we had spent hours rehearsing. He’d sit, cross His legs, rest his jaws on his palm, close his eyes and listen to what we had done. After a while, he’d shake his head, smile and heave an interesting sigh “aaaaahhhh !”, and then say to us “okay okay well done o, but we can’t give God this kind of worship tomorrow, let’s start again…” And believe me, another 2-3 hours of work…. He’d tell us, “you know we can’t take people to a place we have not been to ourselves…”
He would share scriptures, explain what ministry was all about, then sit with us as we slugged it out.
Anyway, those days would later become the foundation of my music ministry today.
Hmmm, There were days I thought “this stress is just too much” just to lead worship ??? But what did I know ? Poor boy ! My eyes opened one day, and I caught it.
The inheritance I got from him was not money and material things, even though he took good care of us. But the values, principles, work ethic, mind shift, wisdom, spiritual intelligence and understanding, emphasis on prayer, word, purity, integrity, character, excellence etc.
Today I honour him everywhere I go, because in hindsight, He was God sent - To a young man who only had talent, but with very little or no sense of direction.
So, to anyone out there, connecting with this post and perhaps in a similar place, I say receive GRACE to maximize the moment. Learn and glean all you can now, never despise the process, instead appreciate and honour it. For not everyone is privileged to have another man or woman who leave their own thing to sit on your matter, just to make sure you excel in life. It is a blessing !
And in case it appears to be taking longer than it should, may be, just maybe. you are cut out for the BIG TIME. And in no distant future we would be reading your own inspiring story.
But Please note ! Only make sure the person or leader is one that meets the criteria above - I.e, one who truly desires to see a better version of you and wants you to fulfill your prophetic destiny. And Not just one who seeks to hijack your life, control it and put in under lock and key.
Blessings
🙂
In my itineraries, I've observed how difficult it is to sustain moments of sobriety for reflection and repentance.
You can preach the heart of God and get people weeping on their seats, and then as you close your session, a moderator comes up and with a clownish "Plaise tha lord, Now its time to give God a dance offering"....
Every bit of repentance you were trying to build collapses because the showbiz schedule is more important than the burdens of God.
I love my son so much that if I see him going to touch a naked wire I will shout and scream and drag him away from there
I don’t care if he cries or thinks my tone is too harsh
I want him alive
That is love
I won’t sit in a corner whispering so his feelings are not hurt
Godly parenting seems more demanding than pulpit ministry.
The consistency required to be a permanent picture of the heavenly father is on a wild level.
No breaks allowed.
You'll spend much time repenting for not doing enough and also being grateful for being entrusted with managing human lives.
Sympathy: You feel sorry for someone who has suffered a calamity. You are not emotionally invested or practically involved in the matter or how they get better from it. You only feel sorry for them. Sympathy is you hear there’s an accident somewhere, you stop and feel sad for the victims, but leave and you keep walking.
Empathy: You feel personally touched by calamity that has befallen someone and you take visible actions to show you understand their pain and you want to help. You are emotionally invested and you are practically involved by doing everything you can to ensure the person gets better. Empathy is you hear there’s an accident somewhere, you stop, you check they are okay, you call an ambulance, you wait with them and you don’t leave until you are sure they are in safe hands.
Apathy: This is the easiest. You simply don’t care. You feel nothing about a calamity that has befallen someone. You are not happy about it but you are not sad either. You simply don’t care. You can’t be bothered at all. Apathy is you hear there’s an accident somewhere, and you are just not interested and you simply keep going. Whether they are dead, injured, alive, dying or whatever, you are not interested and you are not bothered.
I hope this helped.
Every Nigerian Beginner Investor Gets Confused by the Same Words.
Here Is a Plain English Glossary That Actually Makes Sense.
No unnecessary complexity. Just the words you will hear, what they actually mean, and how they affect your money.
Save this thread before you spend a single kobo.
Be loud about the truth even if no one is listening,
Because it isn't just about getting others to hear it, it's about deepening your convictions by voicing your faith.
If you claim to believe the truth but you never proclaim it, you may soon find yourself in doubt and denial.
A sports car appeared in front of me this morning, revving its loud engine as it sped off. I was driving a regular car, but I decided to follow (at my usual speed) just to see how far ahead it would get.
Until the moment it branched onto another street, it never really got far, despite the quick jolts, sharp maneuvers, and roaring engine. Why?
Speed bumps here and there and Too many cars in the way.
It made me realize that sometimes, it’s not about what you’re capable of, it’s about where you’re able to express what you’re capable of.
It’s not just about what’s under the hood; it’s about the hood you’re in.
THE NEW GATE OF WASTAGE
(A Cry in the Spirit)
I have seen a gate…
A dreadful gate that many of the sons of this generation now dance before smiling, shouting, praying, and yet, perishing.
It is called The Gate of Wastage.
It is not a gate of sin, yet it destroys Many men.
It thrives where wisdom is absent…
It feasts on zeal, and consumes those who walk without discernment.
I have watched men burn with passion and yet vanish into irrelevance not because they lacked The Anointing, but because they lacked Wisdom.
This gate is subtle… It does not fight you with temptation; it deceives you with activities.
You will pray, but not be guided.
You will serve, but not be sent.
You will move, but not be led.
You will run, but not arrive.
It is the gate that thrives on ignorance of divine timings, misplaced company, and unauthorized pursuits.
It is the gate that turns the loud cry of zeal into the quiet regret of failure.
It promises a future that will never happen.
And the Lord whispered…
“Tell My sons: zeal is not a substitute for wisdom.”
“Tell My daughters: movement is not progress.”
“Tell My servants: there is a way to waste strength even in the name of service.”
Oh, I fear for a people who confuse motion for manifestation.
A people who are too busy to be broken, too active to be aligned, too visible to be accurate.
The Gate of Wastage!
Where men lose years in circles.
Where ministers labor under excitement, not instruction.
Where voices cry loud, but GOD is silent.
Where prayers rise daily, but direction is absent.
And I hear the Spirit cry
“Return! Return! Return to the School of Wisdom.”
“Return to the altar of waiting.”
“Return to the quietness where DIVINE process is taught.”
For the LORD says,
“Look unto Me, O generation of the unwise, for in Me is Life and Wisdom.”
Let the zealous bow.
Let the fast runner slow down.
Let the builders stop and ask again:
“LORD, did You send me?
Is this Your timing?
Is this Your pattern?”
For it is possible to labor for GOD and still be wasted by ignorance.
It is possible to be sincere and still be wrong.
It is possible to be anointed and yet inaccurate.
Oh LORD, deliver us from this Gate of Wastage…
That our zeal may not bury us,
That our fire may not consume us,
That our strength may not mock us at the gates of eternity.
