Electricity prices rise again
Kenyan households and businesses are paying more for electricity in August after the fuel cost charge increased from about Sh3.20 to Sh3.51 per kilowatt hour.
Sh1,000 now buys roughly 38.8 units of electricity, down from about 40.2 units previously.
Higher power prices will also feed into business costs, especially for manufacturers and other heavy electricity users.
