Unpredictable when provoked. Will always give my honest opinion, whether you want it or not. Proud Limerick woman and Munster supporter. Easily distracted.
@Noralenihan2 I’ve no doubt Nora and great credit is due to anyone engaging in acts of compassion and kindness but if you go door to door for for religion or politics you have to be ready to encounter strong opinions. I wasn’t rude but I had a lot to say which seemed to surprise them
Two men in their early 50’s rang my doorbell this afternoon, they introduced themselves as being from The Legion of Mary, offered me a leaflet and asked if I would like to speak to them, so I did, I suspect nothing could have prepared them for what followed……
@Dan123Mc@maryswitzer666 I’m not laughing Dan, I’m simmering with barely contained rage. I salute any organisation that helps and supports people, whatever their beliefs but if you knock on my door to engage with me on the subject of religion you need to be prepared for some robust dialogue
@DDown20@maryswitzer666 I don’t resent the Legion of Mary , but as an Irish woman I do have many issues to discuss with any Catholic organisation coming to my door to engage in conversation with me, the reference to Sinead came from the many reminders last week of the feminist issues she supported
@HelenORahilly We have 2 vicious magpies who feast on our wild cats food and 2 lovely doves who enjoy an occasional wholemeal crust, life is always better when it’s generously shared with other living things
@s1_tracey Well I began by telling them that I wasn’t aware I actually had a Legion and wondered what they were offering to do on my behalf and why they had taken so long to make themselves known to me.
I wonder did the Archbishops ever dedicate a #ReekSunday to justice for victims of clerical sex abuse or survivors of Magdalene Laundries or Mother and Baby Homes?
@JennferCanesten The article is toe curling. It is distasteful to watch a cynical PR exercise that seeks to use the death of one public figure to reinsert another public figure back into the public domain. There is a great deal of shite being peddled around Sinead O’Connor. She’d have called it.
