I ❤️the #NLT, #MessageBible & #AmplifiedBible just to name a few, but I can't nor won't "relearn" any scripture I've memorized in the JKV. They're too powerful & resonate deeply in my spirit. The Lord is my Shepherd, I SHALL not want. Trust in the Lord with all Thine ❤️.

@BethMooreLPM @AuthorMaryEvans He wasn't having it. Mind you, this was almost 20 yrs ago. He also didn't believe in "dancing" in the church. I told him the goal was to draw people "to Christ", not into the arms of the world. I need to #1 see if he's still alive, #2 see if they still use KJV in their teachings.

I had an older pastor of mine when I lived in Sac, CA tell me there was ONLY ONE version of the Bible & that was the KJV. Like you & most our age+, we did cut our teeth on the KJV. Most scripture I have memorized in KJV b/c it's poetic in nature.

@BethMooreLPM @AuthorMaryEvans That pastor and I met for over 2 hours as he pulled out a re-run copy of a worksheet, proving/defending his case. I told him many of the words were antiquated and if I was to reach a younger generation teaching w/NIV was necessary. I showed him my Bible which is parallel.
