There is no storm that God won't carry you through.
There is no bridge that God won't help you cross.
There is no battle that God won't help you win.
Trust God and never give up.
@frmarcellinus One of the priests in my parish still spoke on this last Sunday.
Now see this one again.
It needs to be addressed because it has gone on too long and gets worse every time.
Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they are? Can any of you, however much you worry, add one single cubit to your span of life? (Matthew 6:26-27)
This is not even about a grandma’s love for her grandkids. In African culture, when you are chasing a child and he or she runs to an elderly person for refuge, it is automatically assumed that the child is safe and you should respect the elderly person. The grandma, being an elder at that point, will ask what the child did. She will either caution the child there or hand the child back to you for punishment, depending on the offence. But in order to maintain that elderly status and respect, she will most likely plead on behalf of the child and ask for pardon.
The lady was very disrespectful to even attempt to flog the child after he had already run to the grandma. At that point, she should have just turned back, and if she still needed to discipline the child, it should have been done later and without the knowledge of the grandma, who would likely find it even more disrespectful that after granting pardon, the punishment was still carried out.
We all witnessed this growing up. I know our culture is gradually being eroded, but we can’t allow it to disappear. Despite how some elders have turned out in present times, we still have to accord morally upright ones the respect they deserve. We will all be elders someday too.
WHAT DO YOU USUALLY DO WHEN YOU MISS A DAY OF YOUR NOVENA PRAYER?
Missing a day of our Novena prayer (unintendedly) is one experience that most of us have had. The experience can be demoralizing and often, we do not know what to do in such a situation. Here are a few things you can do when you miss a day of your Novena prayer.
1. Never you abandon the Novena prayer completely. Most often, missing a day of the Novena prayer can be a trick the devil uses to make us spiritually lukewarm. So, not continuing the Novena Prayer because of a missed day is like making the devil a winner.
2. You can skip the day you missed altogether, especially when there are good reasons for missing it. God understands our human limitations.
3. You can say two of the daily prayers on one day to catch up. Your intention and devotion matter most.
4. You can say the prayer of the day you missed on the next available day and just be one day behind everyone else: The sincerity of your heart matters more than perfect timing.
Fr. Ugochukwu Ugwoke, ISch
“You are indeed Holy, O Lord, and all you have created rightly gives you praise,
for through your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, by the power and working of the Holy Spirit, you give life to all things and make them holy, and you never cease to gather a people to yourself, so that from the rising of the sun to its setting
a pure sacrifice may be offered to your name.
Therefore, O Lord, we humbly implore you: by the same Spirit graciously make holy these gifts we have brought to you for consecration, that they may become the Body and Blood of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, at whose command we celebrate these mysteries.”
Powerful moment of prayer !
May your Father who sees your secret tears, who sees your secret pain. May God our Father who sees the way you hustle in secret, who sees you when you are lonely, may he uplift you. May he give you joy.

• I am a proud Catholic.
• I will die a Catholic.
• The Pope is the head of the Church on earth.
• The Catholic Church is the Church founded by Christ.
• Asking saints to pray for us is not idolatry.
• Mary is the Mother of God.
• The Eucharist is truly the Body and Blood of Christ.
• The early Church was Catholic long before Protestantism existed.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 12, the Church celebrates the beautiful Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus — a day to honor Christ’s infinite love and mercy!
On this special feast, the Church grants a plenary indulgence (full remission of all temporal punishment due to sin) to the faithful who:
✅ How to Obtain It:
Publicly recite the Act of Reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (See in the Comments). This must be done publicly—in a church, with your family, or in a religious community.
Fulfill the usual conditions for a plenary indulgence:
⬩ Be detached from all sin (even venial)
⬩ Go to Sacramental Confession (within about 20 days before or after)
⬩ Receive Holy Communion (ideally on the day itself)
⬩ Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father (one Our Father and one Hail Mary)
This is a tremendous grace! A perfect opportunity to make reparation for sins committed against the love of Jesus and to draw closer to His Merciful Heart.
May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus bless you abundantly with peace, healing, and deeper love for Him.
