@fransoosthuizen@ErnstRoets Cool podcast 👌🏿 some of the things need a fact-check, such as the ‘ending of the Stone Age 2000 years ago’ and the first people predating the San. Overall, I love the approach.
@ErnstRoets European Settlers are rewriting history! At this pace, they'll even claim to have imported the Pyramids! Even archeological & historical evidence will be disputed by Settlers for convenience!
Colonialist-Racist European Settlers must make claims in Europe🇪🇺!Africa for Africans⚖️
@ErnstRoets Great interview Ernst. Not sure your dates about Bantu expansion into South Africa are correct. More importantly do you have a model for a bottom up form of governance the insights of which you might be willing to discuss on your channel?
Trump's out here calling the Chinese “peasants” like it’s an insult, like the word carries dirt he’s too clean to touch. But let me tell you something about dirt—it’s honest. It doesn’t lie. Dirt is where the bones of nations are buried and where the seeds of real men grow. You ever met a peasant who didn’t bleed for something real? Jefferson was a peasant. Washington too. They bled into their boots and called it liberty. They picked rocks out of soil with bare hands and built a country while the wind howled and the sun cooked them half to hell. That wasn’t shame—it was origin. It was honour.
But Trump? Trump was born on satin sheets, fed gold-leaf lies with silver spoons carved out of debt and deceit. He’s the swollen tick that mistakes the blood for his own brilliance. A man who wouldn’t know a shovel from a shoehorn if it wasn’t gold-plated and signed by some sycophantic intern from Wharton.
He mocks peasants while wearing a dead fox on his head, sweating under the weight of his own blabber. You ever see a man afraid of dirt? That’s a man who’s never had to claw at anything. Never broke a nail building, never tore skin lifting. He floats above it all, flapping his powdered jowls, calling the workers of the world "peasants" as if that’s not the spine of civilisation.
I grow. I plant. I dig wells by hand, by hire, by necessity. I watch my land breathe and sweat and birth what matters. I break rocks with my hands while people like him break wind in gold toilets and call it leadership.
A peasant, Donald, is a man who gets it done. You? You’re a parade balloon with too much gas and not enough string. You call them peasants because you’re terrified—terrified of those who don’t need to lie to matter. Terrified of those who can survive without cameras and applause.
Peasants don’t crumble under pressure. They forge nations. You wouldn’t last an hour without hair spray and adoration. So keep your limp-fisted jabs. We’ll be down here in the dirt, building what lasts—while you rot in a tower of your own bullshit, mistaking the smell for perfume.
This Drake narrative is funny. All of a sudden, he's the culture vulture when most of the artists he hopped on a song with had their career change after he jumped on the track
There is so much more to southern Africa's early history than we realize. It was great to interview Mduduzi Maseko for this article about archeology in the province we're both from
