I ended up liking the vintage character of the lady more than I expected. So, I thought it would be fitting to tease a potential sequel at the end. But I’ll leave it up to the feedback to decide whether I actually go through with it.
For a fairly spontaneous idea, I think the final result turned out pretty solid. In the end, I put way more effort into the main part than I originally planned. I also completely reworked the sound design once again.
To avoid it being all cheap and tacky, I wanted the film to have a twist: the scenes where things really go down should unfold in a modern format. The monster still looks ridiculous, of course, but the film needed to gain a bit of quality at that point.
It was important to me to capture the vibe of those old films. So, I tried to recreate the camera angles, the look, and the feel to be just as cheesy as they were back then. I'm pretty happy with the trashy outcome, and I still can't help but laugh at how ridiculous it all looks.
While experimenting with some animations, I got the idea to create a really cheesy 70s horror film. Monster movies were huge back then, and some are still considered classics to this day.
I had a completely different video in the pipeline, but I wasn’t happy with it at all and decided to put the project on hold for now. I felt like doing something else to avoid getting frustrated.
I also decided not to stretch the film out any further because it felt so complete with the song ending right there. I’m really happy with how it turned out. I might pull individual scenes from sequences like this in the future, but I’ll wait for feedback on that.
The room with the rotating bed was the biggest challenge to set up. I had to “shoot” a lot of those scenes multiple times. Originally, I wanted to change or cut the music at that point, but I ended up sticking with the DnB part.
I originally wanted to do a lot more scenes with and on the car in the alley, but it was way too tricky to get it all done without clipping or animation issues. I’ll keep those ideas in mind for next time.
I thought it was cool to find out that Lisa is really active in the WildLife community and even shared her own preset. It gives the whole thing a different vibe, like "based on a real character."
The "story" is supposed to be about a camgirl coming up with all sorts of crazy new ideas for her content. I wanted something with style, caps, and cars to give it that Fast & Furious vibe.
I asked Lisa for her permission to use her as main character for this idea. She said, "Do whatever you want!" So I thought, "Alright, let’s have a Ferrari drifting around her."
Those normal slow-motion scenes pop up here and there to symbolize that the main character is under the demon’s control and isn’t really aware of what’s happening to him in the other dimension.
She was supposed to be creepy but still sexy. So, I tried adding a bit of horror through the sound design by using a slightly disturbing laugh with a chorus effect in the scene. It’s unsettling yet oddly good to watch at the same time.
