Okay, entanglement and spooky action at a distance. Let me give you my version of the best way to think about it. One's mileage, as ever, is permitted to vary. (1/n)
Fearful Symmetry by Anthony Zee. An Amazon review I found fitting was “gauge symmetry for blondes”. A quote I enjoy is “the difficulty is that symmetry implies unity while the world exhibits diversity”.
I guess this never posted: “Something Deeply Hidden” by @seanmcarroll . Everett’s interpretation of QM is counterintuitive, but I am always happy to question reality. Fun and worth the read.
The journey from Plato to Newton to modern physics. Feel like I gained a lot with this book. “Hidden in what seems like empty space are the very elements that allow for our existence” - @LKrauss1
Finished “QED : The strange theory of light and matter ”. “The price of gaining such an accurate theory has been the erosion of our common sense” -@ProfFeynman
Went to @ProfBrianCox Horizons event in Austin, and just finished “The Quantum Universe”. He and @JeffRForshaw wrote this book wonderfully. “Science is the investigation of the real, and if the real seems surreal then so be it.”
A Universe From Nothing. I’d say the best book I’ve ever read. “Until we open our eyes and let nature call the shots, we are bound to wallow in myopia”. -@LKrauss1
Done with The Dark Universe, by Daniel Galouye. “Maybe this infinity might not be so terrifying if he would only give himself the chance to understand it.”
Had a lot of fun reading this one. “Science flings open the narrow window through which we are accustomed to viewing the spectrum of possibilities” - @RichardDawkins
Two of the more thought provoking books I have read. Visionary by @Graham__Hancock & DMT The Spirit Molecule by Rick Strassman. Hope to continue looking into this “field”.
@smaacktalk@Gfunkera86@Atomic__Danny@boredape93@pixelvault_ @POWDAO_ @economist Fair perspective. I personally got into the project bc I find it fun. There is a lot going on, and I’m definitely not aware of it all. I find myself less bothered by the unknown, because I’m only here to have fun.
