The American Revolution began in Massachusetts.
So did the abolition movement. And generations of civil rights leaders and immigrant communities have shaped who we are today.
President Trump isn't preserving history. He's censoring it.

One of the best parts of this job is welcoming our troops back to Massachusetts.
Today, 300 National Guard members returned home from deployment in Djibouti. Grateful for their service, proud of their work, and thankful to the families who supported them.
Welcome home.
Massachusetts has always been a place that believes in freedom.
Freedom to speak up. Freedom to be yourself. Freedom to love who you love.
That's worth celebrating this month, and always.
Happy Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Less than a year after breaking ground, Foxborough's new @MBTA_CR station is now open.
It means more capacity. Better accessibility. Faster, easier trips to games, concerts and everything in between.
And it's just in time for @FWC26Boston.
One year after launching State Land for Homes, more than 5,600 new units are in the pipeline across Massachusetts.
We're using every tool available to build more homes, lower costs, and create more opportunities for families and workers.
BIG NEWS: Massachusetts' economy just ranked #1 in America for the second year in a row.
We’ve got a world-class workforce, growing STEM industries, and an innovation economy that's built to compete—and win.
Robert Kilduff Jr. devoted his life to helping people. Whether serving his country as a Marine or his city as a third-generation firefighter, he answered the call time and again without hesitation. He was a hero by every measure — who ultimately gave his own life to save others.
@JLydgate and I are sending our love to his partner Jessica, his children Hannah Jane and Mason, the entire Boston Fire Department and all his brothers and sisters in service. Massachusetts will never forget his sacrifice.
Pride is about celebrating the freedom to be who you are and love who you love.
This Pride Month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and the advocates who helped make our state a leader for equality. I will always have your back.
Happy Pride, Massachusetts! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
At just 22 years old, Giovanni Bala had his whole future ahead of him — a devoted son, a new union carpenter, and a young man who meant the world to those around him.
Keeping his family and the Dorchester community in my thoughts as they grieve this unimaginable loss. https://t.co/GdO3iHQlVC
This afternoon, Massachusetts Public Safety Officials received reports of an audible boom and ground tremors in Eastern Massachusetts. Although we do not yet know the cause, there are no known emergency police or fire requests connected to these reports and we do not believe there is any public safety threat.
We remain in contact with our local, state, and federal partners to monitor any impact and understand the cause when it becomes available.
My heart breaks for the Doncev family, for the communities of Greenfield and Worcester, and for everyone impacted by this terrible tragedy.
Keeping them in my prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

In just a few weeks, fans from all over will come to Massachusetts for the World Cup ⚽️🏆
We’re a state that loves teamwork, grit, and seeing the best compete against the best. Soccer brings people together across cultures, countries, and communities — and there’s no better place to celebrate that than here.
Today, we got an up close look at the trophy with @CocaCola and FIFA Legend @llorentefer19.
Donald Trump’s ICE agents aren’t going after the worst of the worst.
They’re storming neighborhoods, separating families, arresting citizens and lawful immigrants, and targeting places people should feel safe — schools, doctors’ offices, and houses of worship.
Massachusetts took action to keep ICE out of community spaces and off state property. Now, we’re giving schools, health care providers, and faith leaders new tools to protect their communities.
People deserve to feel safe where they live, learn, heal, and pray.
When I took office, I made it my mission to turn things around at the Holyoke Veterans Home. I appointed the first Secretary of Veterans Services, and we focused on delivering the high-quality care our veterans earned.
The Holyoke Veterans Home is now one of the best in America — with a perfect VA rating and 100% resident satisfaction score.
May is Military Appreciation Month, so yesterday I stopped by to thank our veterans for their service and the staff who made it all possible.
.@BostonLogan keeps Massachusetts connected to the world — and we’re making the trip there easier, too.
In a first-in-the-nation pilot, travelers will soon be able to check in, drop bags and clear TSA in Framingham before shuttling straight to Logan.
It means less waiting, less worrying, and less traffic for travelers and commuters.
Henry Thomas III spent decades fighting for opportunity, equity and brighter futures for families across Springfield. His leadership at the Urban League and UMass changed countless lives and left a lasting mark on our state.
Thinking of his loved ones and everyone in Springfield mourning the loss of a true community leader. https://t.co/GDlzdOFl55
There is no greater sacrifice than the one made by our fallen service members and the families who carry their memory forward. We owe them a debt we can never fully repay.
That’s why we must honor their legacy not only with words, but with our commitment to support the families they left behind.
Today, we presented twelve Massachusetts families with the Medals of Liberty and Fidelity in recognition of loved ones lost in combat and from the invisible wounds of war. We also honored Major Robert Brandt with the Purple Heart for his bravery under enemy fire in Afghanistan.
To our Gold Star families, veterans, and service members: Massachusetts stands with you today and always.
