Today, 300 National Guard members returned home from deployment in Djibouti. Grateful for their service, proud of their work, and thankful to the families who supported them.

@JLydgate and I are sending our love to his partner Jessica, his children Hannah Jane and Mason, the entire Boston Fire Department and all his brothers and sisters in service. Massachusetts will never forget his sacrifice.

This afternoon, Massachusetts Public Safety Officials received reports of an audible boom and ground tremors in Eastern Massachusetts. Although we do not yet know the cause, there are no known emergency police or fire requests connected to these reports and we do not believe there is any public safety threat.

We remain in contact with our local, state, and federal partners to monitor any impact and understand the cause when it becomes available.

Donald Trump’s ICE agents aren’t going after the worst of the worst.

They’re storming neighborhoods, separating families, arresting citizens and lawful immigrants, and targeting places people should feel safe — schools, doctors’ offices, and houses of worship.

Massachusetts took action to keep ICE out of community spaces and off state property. Now, we’re giving schools, health care providers, and faith leaders new tools to protect their communities.

People deserve to feel safe where they live, learn, heal, and pray.

When I took office, I made it my mission to turn things around at the Holyoke Veterans Home. I appointed the first Secretary of Veterans Services, and we focused on delivering the high-quality care our veterans earned.

The Holyoke Veterans Home is now one of the best in America — with a perfect VA rating and 100% resident satisfaction score.

May is Military Appreciation Month, so yesterday I stopped by to thank our veterans for their service and the staff who made it all possible.

.@BostonLogan keeps Massachusetts connected to the world — and we’re making the trip there easier, too.

In a first-in-the-nation pilot, travelers will soon be able to check in, drop bags and clear TSA in Framingham before shuttling straight to Logan.

There is no greater sacrifice than the one made by our fallen service members and the families who carry their memory forward. We owe them a debt we can never fully repay.

That’s why we must honor their legacy not only with words, but with our commitment to support the families they left behind.

Today, we presented twelve Massachusetts families with the Medals of Liberty and Fidelity in recognition of loved ones lost in combat and from the invisible wounds of war. We also honored Major Robert Brandt with the Purple Heart for his bravery under enemy fire in Afghanistan.

To our Gold Star families, veterans, and service members: Massachusetts stands with you today and always.
