Nostalgia is truly a curse. It deadens the intellect and narrows the horizons of imagination. The vast majority of bands coming out today are evidence of this. Putrefied, zombified echoes of shit that was already godawful when it was new. Copies of copies, consumed thoughtlessly.
The Emptiness of All Things record release show is TOMORROW! Be at Cinco de Mayo in New Brunswick, NJ at 6:30pm. No one turned away for lack or funds.
This is our only show for the time being. It's going to be a fun one.
“The self-pity to play the victim and claim to be some liberal advocate for peace and decency while ‘allegedly’ harassing students protesting a literal genocide struck me as ghoulish.” Read our interview with @MassaNera:

NJ/NY/PA FOLKS: We're playing a record release show for The Emptiness of All Things on 12/19 at Cinco De Mayo New Brunswick. Details are on the flyer. This is our only scheduled show for the time being. If you're interested, consider pulling up!
@xxxtactician1 Always been more partial to "Travel by Telephone" and "Undercovers On," but this song is still an all-timer. My high school band covered it (poorly) at a backyard show, to absolutely no fanfare.
Mark's other band is playing at Cinco de Mayo tomorrow night. NOTAFLAF.
All door money goes to Cinco, since slamdance-loving chuds insist on trashing the place. Ever hear of respecting a space? Fucking idiots.
Anyways, come to this show if you aren't a mouthbreathing fuckwit.
This Rise Records-core revival is baffling. 99% of that music sucked when it was new. Who was asking for a carbon copy of this dogshit 15 years after the fact? It's farcical and beyond pity.
@Tylerban Having lived through that time, I can assure you it was not a golden era. If it feels like such compared to the present, that's a testament to how bad things are now, not how good things were then.
Looks like The Emptiness of All Things is on a few file-sharing sites. Quibblrs about redundancy aside (since the album is already free), I'm stoked on this. I found most of my favorite artists on similar sites. It's kind of wild to see our music on them.
More words on TEoAT: according to No Clean Singing, it has "brittle and sorrowful fragility; screeching dissonance; evanescing ethereality; boiling and abrasive derangement; jazzy delirium; clanging confusion; pulverizing pile-driving punishment; and feverishly pulsating menace."
