@theroborourke Your last email, the one asking for calls, got 1.4% clicks. The six content emails before it were all under 1%. So the straight ask beat the nurture that was supposed to warm people up for it. Any reason not to move it nearer the front?
@TheJeremyHaynes Judging on outcome works when the outcome is theirs to control. A lead magnet's numbers move on the offer and the traffic pointed at it, and your guy picks neither. Do that long enough and the safest way for him to look good is to stop taking the risky briefs.
Not everyone needs this. If you're posting fine already, keep going.
It's for the one who opens the app, writes half a post, bins it, and closes the app again. Still me on a bad morning, and I made it.
Founder Content OS, £29. LAUNCH makes it £19.

@irentdumpsters Funny thing is you've said competitors and people wanting you to fail, and the message you screenshotted is someone rooting for you. Whoever sticks around already likes what you're doing, so you stop hearing the version where it isn't working. Who tells you when you're wrong?
@theynotlikeYash Half that list is stuff you learned, which is the consuming you say you're cutting, just relabelled. Not a dig, I do the same and it feels like progress because there's an output at the end of it. Which of the nine ended up in the thing you're building?
@_mattwelter The views are the half you can see from outside. Nobody posts how many of the 25M actually paid the $18, and on a scroll format in healthy eating I'd expect that to be brutal. Do you know what these accounts convert at, or is it only the views that are public?
For the first week here I couldn't see any of my own numbers. Now the profile shows 1.2K impressions over seven days.
Nine days in, twelve followers. That's the lot.
It's rounded, and it's the whole week in one figure, so it still won't tell me which post did anything.
@liutauras_liu The mix isn't what stops most designers. Pillar one needs client numbers you're allowed to publish, and plenty aren't, either an NDA or it wasn't really their result to claim. Anonymised versions land flat, since the specifics were the interesting bit. How do you get round that?
@rokbenko The two PRs are the interesting bit, not the count. Memory between runs, and a budget a slow model walks straight through, are both things you only hit by running it for a while. That's a usage signal more than a community one. Were they both using it before they opened the PR?
@raf_piek The small-and-one-off bit is probably the posts. If they're mostly progress and screens, whoever turns up has already picked the task they want done. It's the posts naming a decision you got wrong that get people bringing you the problem instead. Which one pulled Singapore?
There's a running note on my laptop I add to during the day. What I got wrong, something someone asked me, a number I looked up.
Nearly every post comes out of that. Writing one from memory in the morning gets me vague general stuff, because whatever was specific has gone.
Looked at how clinicians monetise their skills this morning. Someone is already selling a course on what most of them do every week. Composite bonding, fully online, 995 pounds. A nail surgery update, nine episodes, 75 pounds. Missing piece: a recording and twenty seats.
@owenthcarey Usually that means it stopped working for whoever's asking. Worth checking what it was doing back when it did.
For most people it holds the ones who already found them and finds nobody new. Ask it to do acquisition and it goes dead. What was it doing for you?
@Vatsalpandya333 Cheers. Only group left who'd tell you straight is the one that nearly bought and walked, and they're much harder to get hold of. They know exactly why too, for about a week.
Nobody asks them, it's an awkward message to send.
@NicolasLecocqHQ Fair, though those fix how it reads, not what it knows. What gives it away is a comment about the topic and not about the person's actual situation.
Different risk on Reddit anyway. Mods and automod bin new accounts before anyone reads the writing. Are they surviving the subs?
Everyone tells you to reply under the big accounts. I've been doing it. The reply lands near the bottom and nobody reads it.
The ones who've talked to me twice weren't the big accounts. They'd just posted something specific they were stuck on. Same amount of typing either way.
@MonisolaAyejoto Silence reads the same whether someone was confused, not bothered, or just not your buyer, which is what makes it hard to act on. The only place I've seen confusion actually surface is when someone restates your point back and it's a different point.
I deleted a post yesterday, ninety seconds after it went up.
It said my follower count hadn't moved. I checked right after and it had, by one. Nobody would've noticed.
But that post's whole point was the number being honest, and I'd written it off a reading a few hours old.
