The best maps have no roads but rail, just gotta get this framed now. Not sure I'd include NJ, Delaware, and MD among the "central states" but who am I to quibble with 1871?

Sadly I didn't realize you needed to register to be eligible to get write-in votes, but I'll still be writing myself in for District C (I wouldn't hate a couple extra uncountable votes if you're so inclined)
New: half of the @RideRTD board seats on the ballot have only write-in candidates. At a time when metro Denverโs sprawling transit agency faces historic challenges, few people stepped up to run for its board.
For this story, I probed why that is.

And finally, file this as another data point in the "multiple years of meetings leads to a design that's both mostly toothless and also could've been installed in about 48 hours at any time"
Honest question: shouldn't the posts go where the lines are painted so this actually narrows the roadway? These are only about 24" from the gutter, so this entire design really only reduces the road width by 4 feet.
The only competitive RTD race in Denver is no longer competitive. Steven Gibson told me today he's pulled out of the race, which means @RuschaWrites is the lone candidate in District B (she's a write-in).
I'm so glad @DenverDOTI didn't water down the plans for the Perry St bikeway. These new stencils will definitely slow drivers down and keep people safe. It's finally obvious that bikes have priority here--just ignore the unfettered free parking on both sides of the street
