@themostazezo I also think when talking about 'porn' I feel like it needs to be specified what type. Because like a large majority of the non-cartoon stuff I consume is more 'eye-candy' than literal porn. Like celebrity photoshoots or like implied nude scenes in movies.
@TwunkKatFaunus You ever hate it when you see some good art, but the vibe of the artist themself throws it off? This is one of those times. And apparently I've had him muted for something else before, IDK what.
@punishedmother And to add extra context because I've seen people use this as a strawman.
No, understanding that women's bodies, like in a bikini, isn't asking you to stop finding them hot. It's to understand it's not inherently sexual/obscene and whatever arousal is on you, not them.
@Stephen_Fremel@punishedmother Same. Hypersexual as a teen and thought bikinis looked hot, but still knew it was rude to shameless oggle at people and tried to catch myself if I ever let a glance linger too long.
@MagzGurren that’s what i thought but they keep doubling down after numerous people tried to tell them. so either they’re too prideful to admit that they’re wrong or they’re actually just stupid idk
@fawnskippingz@Homu420@Gargrove193158 I always find it funny when lolicons get mad at me, because I'm giving a relatively forgiving analysis that suggests social conditioning that can be corrected, rather than a permanent, deviant paraphilia.
@Gargrove193158@Homu420 if one were to continue consuming content.
Foundationally, it's different than an ingrained paraphilia, but still harmful, and seemingly reversible.
@Gargrove193158@Homu420 A more precise term I would use is conditioning since 'porn addiction' might be misinterpreted. In my case, I had undiagnosed ADHD, which makes it harder to drop habits. So attraction to something that was once age-appropriate might linger, and be harder to drop
@Gargrove193158@Homu420 I was never really comfortable with it, to the point where I'd want to draw or commission it myself. But I didn't take it seriously for a while.
@Gargrove193158@Homu420 To get more to the point, I'm speaking from my interactions with others. I also had an issue where exposure to NSFW of characters I had age-appropriate feelings for growing up induced a compulsion (ADHD makes dropping habits harder), that's kind of like arrested development.
