Just wanted to leave this reminder and word of encouragement here for anyone trying to do better, grow or change in this season of life.
The last thing to grow on a tree is the fruit.
Be patient. Give yourself grace. Slow or steady motion is still motion. Results will come.
Desperation is the thief of discernment.
Desperation feeds on the now and discernment thrives on patience. The story of Esau is a perfect example of this. Don’t let hunger cloud your ability to see the value of what you are giving up.
You can not be cautious and be faithful. Some seasons of your life will require you to do the very thing that scares you the most. Do it anyway. You have to be willing to trust God enough to be bold about the things you can’t fully comprehend.
Everybody wants to grow in God but nobody wants to die to self. You can not have one without the other. If parts of you aren’t dying in the process or pursuit, then what are you really doing.
What parts of you have you had to crucify in order for God to purify?
