The phone you're using now, you were once very anxious about getting it. How long did the excitement last after you got it?
Exactly.
That is how it is with everything you're anxious about. When you get it, epiphany hits. "So this is it?"
a pastor said something that stuck with me. he said don’t assume your trials are punishment for past sins. God doesn’t hold grudges. that’s a human thing. keep good thoughts about God even in the hard seasons. he’s working something out for you
My maternal grandmother was a prophetess. Before my mum got married, she warned her not to marry my dad…though she never gave a clear reason.
My mum didn’t listen. My grandma then said something my mum never forgot: if she went ahead with the marriage, it would end up like detergent poured into water 🤔 it would foam and look lively at first, but quickly fade away.
My mum still went ahead with the wedding, and my grandmother refused to attend.
Years later, while my mum was still breastfeeding my elder brother, she accidentally got pregnant with me. She considered terminating the pregnancy. Strangely enough, that was the moment my grandmother finally reached out to her after years of silence. Her message was brief but firm:
“You will give birth to that child. Don’t ever terminate the pregnancy, or it will become your greatest regret.”
Looking back now, two things stand out to me.
First, the marriage truly ended exactly the way my grandmother described it… like detergent in water. It blossomed for a moment and then faded away.
Second, out of her six children, I was the only one who wasn’t born with sickle cell.
Moments like this always leave me in deep thought.
Sometimes, life reminds you that there are dimensions to it that logic alone cannot fully explain. And experiences like this will make you believe, again and again, that life is deeply spiritual. ✨
Lol some of you have just been waiting for an opportunity to shit on Asherkine sha.
I even thought y’all had verifiable & very objective evidence that he stages everything he does, you people’s proof is “she looks too fine to be broke” mtchew.
First of all, AsherKine doesn’t film himself. He has a videographer. That means the videos are planned, recorded in parts, with different angles and takes, and later edited to tell a story for viewers.
For example, before he walked into that restaurant to speak to the girl, it’s very possible he had already approached her privately to explain why he was there and make sure she was comfortable being on camera. After that, they can easily recreate the moment on camera so it looks like the first meeting.
The same thing could apply to the call with her mother. That might not have been their first conversation. AsherKine may have already spoken to the mother earlier to explain everything and get her permission before they recorded that part for the video.
That’s simply how content production works. Not everything you see in a short edited video happens exactly the way it appears on screen.
