At 35 weeks pregnant, Ilsa Feierabend isn’t slowing down—she’s speeding up! 🤰 She won the 800m free & got 2nd in 200m back today. Swimming through pregnancy isn’t new for her; during her first, she went to practice before labor. After a busy open water season & 7 years away, joining Masters reignited her passion—more than racing, it’s about community & joy!

Nancy Stretch is still making a splash at 85!

Competing for the Olympic Club in San Francisco, Nancy crushed the 200m IM today in the 85–90 age group (5:24.33), adding to her wins in the 50m BR and 100m BK yesterday. 🏆

91-year-old Yenny Van Dinter swam the 50m breast today, competing at USMS Nationals alongside her son, Alain. Even though she was DQ'd, she's still smiling. She dreams of swimming until she's 100 and lives by her motto: “Keep on going!”

At 95 years old, Frank Manheim is the oldest competitor at USMS Nationals, and now a National Champion in the 50 back and 100 free! 🏆

From college swimmer to USA triathlete, marathoner, and now USMS Nationals competitor, Dana Halter, 51, has done it all. After overcoming a recent osteoarthritis diagnosis, she’s back in the water and racing again, thanks to the support of her Masters Swimming family.

After swimming together at Florida A&M, Douglas Carrington, Torrence Ford, AJ Albert Lowe IV, and Karl Riley II reunited at Spring Nationals for their first Masters national championship. They shared laughs and then swam the 200 medley relay on Friday, more than 20 years after their college days.

Swimming has had a profound impact on their lives, and is now part of their mission. They value their time swimming at an HBCU and hope to shine a light on the lack of varsity teams at HBCUs, including their alma mater, which cut swimming shortly after they graduated.
