I am Lebanese and I live in South Lebanon. We have lost our families, friends, teachers and homes over the past year as our people proudly stood in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine. I taught my daughter to clap every time we heard a bomb that echoed through our house so that she no longer fears the noise, an almost daily occurrence, We have continued to sacrifice with the blood of those most beloved to us for this just and noble cause, for Jerusalem, and for speaking truth in the face of a tryant: Israel.

And I declare that this would not have been possible - neither for Lebanon to defend itself adequately nor for Palestine to defend itself adequately for an entire year - without Iran. Iran has sacrificed for decades what no other country in the region has - not Egypt, Saudi, Morocco, Jordan, UAE or any state globally - in solidarity with Palestine. It has suffered a great deal economically as a result, but continued nevertheless.

Some call it proxy whilst we call it brotherhood for the same cause. A debate on intentions will get us nowhere because it cannot be proven. What we are certain of however is that we are not random puppets to be controlled by the idea of a mastermind iranian Mulla. We are people of honour, heart, knowledge and intellect. We believe in what we believe. Some think this is naive but we see this is what has gotten us this far in standing up to the taghut and enemies of Allah. And we are prepared to give everything for Palestine despite where we come from, what flag represents our nation and what denomination of Islam we belong to, because that is what Allah wills.

In the same way that people have been commenting all year that Palestine was abandoned (including criticizing the Leb resistance when even the Palestinian resistance didn't do that, the same resistance not accepting a ceasefire without Gaza) now people will comment that the Lebanese resistance has been abandoned by it's allies, whilst they themselves do not say nor believe this. It is not farfetched to say there would be no resistance to Israel in the region without Iran. There is only unity and strength here, and complete faith and trust in brotherhood. Not every role of every state should be known and rightly so.

I say all of this as someone who proudly no longer has a home; may I sacrifice much more on the path to Jerusalem, the same path that Iran has done the most to pave the way for.

I continue to pray we all unite together in true brotherhood as one Ummah. That is the only way.
