She further states that the judges themselves acknowledge being under pressure while sentencing Gul Zadi and other BYC leaders, raising serious concerns about the independence of the judiciary.

Highlighting the current situation in Balochistan, Dr. Sabiha says that the region has effectively been turned into a prison, with curfews imposed across different areas and restrictions placed on civilian life. Enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings have increased.

She says that authorities claim they approached BYC leaders for negotiations, but their actual objective was to silence them. “We cannot be silenced until the atrocities in Balochistan come to an end,” she states.

پاکستان کی ایک کینگرو کورٹ نے بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی کی سیاسی رہنما گلزادی بلوچ کو عمر قید کی سزا سنا دی ہے۔ میں اس فیصلے کو صرف ایک سزا کے طور پر نہیں دیکھتی، بلکہ اسے بلوچستان میں انصاف کے ساتھ ہونے والے مسلسل مذاق اور پُرامن سیاسی آوازوں کو دبانے کے جاری عمل کی ایک اور مثال سمجھتی ہوں۔

جس مقدمے میں دفاع کے وکیل کی غیر موجودگی میں گواہ پر جرح کی جائے، جہاں دفاع کو اپنی بات مؤثر طور پر رکھنے کا مکمل موقع نہ دیا جائے، اور جہاں جج ملزم اور اس کے وکلاء کی عدم موجودگی میں طے شدہ احکامات کی تکمیل کرے، وہاں عدالت کے طرزِ عمل، دباؤ اور غیر جانب داری پر سوال اٹھنا فطری ہے۔ ایسے حالات میں ہمیں یہ پوچھنے کا پورا حق ہے کہ یہ عدالتوں کا یہ طرز عمل انصاف کے زمرے میں آتا ہے ؟

گلزادی بلوچ کوئی نامعلوم چہرہ نہیں، وہ ہماری ساتھی اور ہماری جدوجہد کا ایک حصہ ہے۔ اسے خاموش کرنے کے لیے ��مر قید کی سزا سنائی جا سکتی ہے، مگر اس کے ساتھ ہونے والی ناانصافی کے خلاف ہماری آواز کو قید نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ گلزادی کی سزا اس بات کا ثبوت ہے کہ آج بلوچستان میں پُرامن سیاسی جدوجہد کو کس قدر دباؤ اور جبر کا سامنا ہے۔

ہمارے ساتھیوں پر جبر صرف قید اور مقدمات تک محدود نہیں۔ ہماری تنظیم کے سرگرم کارکن نذر مری بلوچ کو بھی گزشتہ ایک سال سے جبری طور پر لاپتہ رکھا گیا ہے۔ سوال یہ ہے کہ پُرامن سیاسی کارکنوں کو قید اور لاپتہ کرکے بلوچستان کے سیاسی مسئلے کو کیسے حل کیا جا سکتا ہے؟

ہمیں مذاکرات کا درس دینے والوں سے میرا سوال ہے: جب ایک طرف ہمارے ساتھی جیلوں میں قید ہوں، دوسری طرف ان کے دفاع اور قانونی حقوق محدود کیے جائیں، اور سیاسی جدوجہد سے دستبرداری کے لیے دباؤ ڈالا جائے، تو پھر مذاکرات کس بنیاد پر ہوں گے؟ گلے پر چھری رکھ کر مذاکرات نہیں ہوتے، یہ صرف جبری خاموشی مسلط کرنے کی کوشش ہوتی ہے۔

آج بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی کے ساتھ روا رکھا جانے والا یہ مجرمانہ طرزِ عمل بلوچستان میں پُرامن جدوجہد پر ریاستی اداروں کے جاری جبر کی ایک سفاک مثال ہے۔ ��ام نہاد مذاکراتی عمل کے دوران، بلوچستان میں جاری خونریزی اور مسلسل جبر کے باوجود، معاملہ فہمی، سنجیدگی اور نیک نیتی کے بجائے دباؤ، ہٹ دھرمی اور دھمکی آمیز رویہ اختیار کیا گیا۔

مذاکرات کے نام پر مسلسل ہم پر دباؤ ڈالا گیا کہ ہم اپنی پُرامن سیاسی جدوجہد سے دستبردار ہو جائیں۔ ہمیں کہا گیا کہ تمام ججز ہمارے ہاتھ میں ہیں اور آپ کی دی ہوئی کوئی بھی درخواست کوئی حیثیت نہیں رکھتی۔ہم نے ان تمام حالات کے باوجود دلیل اور سیاسی جرات کا راستہ اختیار کیا، جو ہماری بنیادی سیاسی تربیت کا حصہ ہے۔ ہم بلوچستان کے عوام کے بنیادی حقوق کی جدوجہد کرنے والی سیاسی جماعت سے تعلق رکھتے ہ��ں اور اپنے عوام کے حقوق کے لیے ہم نے کبھی بھی مکالمے اور مذاکرات سے انکار نہیں کیا۔

اس جبر کے دورانیے میں بھی ہماری تنظیم لاپتہ افراد کی سالانہ رپورٹ محکمہ داخلہ بلوچستان میں جمع کرائی، جو ہمارے زمہدار تنظیم ہونے کا واضح ثبوت ہے۔

مگر ہم نے مذاکرات کے نام پر کسی بھی سیاسی انجینئرنگ کو نہ پہلے قبول کیا ہے اور نہ آئندہ کریں گے۔ بی وائی سی بلوچ عوام کی نمائندہ جماعت اور ان کی امانت ہے۔ ہماری جدوجہد کسی فرد یا عہدے کے لیے نہیں بلکہ اپنے عوام کے بنیادی حقوق اور انصاف کے لیے ہے۔

ہمارے انکار کے بعد چار رکنی عسکری مذاکراتی ٹیم نے ہمیں کہا کہ فیصلہ یہ ہے کہ جب تک آپ ہماری باتیں نہیں مانیں گے، آپ جیل میں رہیں گے۔ ہمیں یہ بھی کہا گیا کہ جج کو بھی یہی حکم دیا گیا ہے۔ ہمیں یہ پیشکش بھی کی گئی کہ اگر ہم ان کی بات مان لیتے ہیں تو ہم میں سے ایک شخص کو رہا کر دیا جائے گا؛ وہ باہر جا کر ان کی باتوں پر عمل کرے گا تو باقی لوگوں کو بھی رہا کر دیا جائے گا۔ہمیں دو، تین سال کے لیے یورپ میں آباد ہو جانے کی پیشکش بھی کی گئی�� ہم نے ان سمیت تمام ایسی پیشکشوں کو مسترد کیا، کیونکہ ہماری جدوجہد کسی وقتی رعایت، مراعات یا ذاتی مفاد کے لیے نہیں ہے۔

ہم نے واضح کیا کہ ہم کسی سلیکٹڈ پارلیمنٹ کا حصہ نہیں بنیں گے، جو عوام کے بجائے عسکری قوتوں کے ترجمانی کریں نہ کبھی بلوچستان کو چھوڑ کر کسی دوسرے ملک میں پناہ لیں گے۔ ہمارا انتخاب بلوچستان کی عوام ہیں، اور ہمارا راستہ اپنے عوام کے بنیادی جمہوری حقوق کی جدوجہد ہے۔ اگر اس جدوجہد کی قیمت قید ہے تو ہم یہ قیمت ادا کریں گے، اور جیل سے بھی اپنی سیاسی جدوجہد جاری رکھیں گے۔

ہم ان تمام اداروں کو یہ واضح پیغام دینا چاہتے ہیں کہ طاقت کے بل پر آپ بلوچستان کے سیاسی مسئلے کو حل نہیں کرسکتے۔ آپ نے بی وائی سی کے رہنماؤں کو قید کرنے اور کارکنوں کو لاپتہ کرنے کے باوجود بلوچستان میں امن قائم نہیں کیا-

We are alarmed by the life sentence handed down to prominent Baloch rights activist and Baloch Yakjehti Committee leader Gulzadi Baloch. The use of baseless charges against peaceful activists raises serious concerns about the misuse of laws to silence and criminalise dissent.

Those in power must understand that the criminalisation of peaceful activism will not remain restricted to Balochistan. When the fundamental rights of one community are denied, the rights of others across Pakistan are also put at risk.

I appeal to civil society and the media across Pakistan to stand in solidarity with Baloch rights activists, raise their voices against the blatant misuse of laws, and unite in the struggle to defend our fundamental rights. Your silence today could come at a much greater cost tomorrow for you all.

For decades, the Baloch people have been subjected to a system of colonial control in which force has been used as an instrument of governance and political dissent has been treated as a threat to be eliminated. Baloch youth, in particular, have been denied the political space to question, organize and participate freely in shaping the future of their own society. Enforced disappearances, arbitrary arrests, militarization and intimidation are not individual incidents,they are colonial tactics designed to create fear, marginalize communities, suppress collective resistance and prevent a politically conscious generation from asserting its rights. Yet history has repeatedly shown that repression cannot resolve the demands of a people. It only intensifies political consciousness and deepens resistance.

The enforced disappearance of Dr. Mahir Mazar and Dr. Jamsher Ganguzar is another example of this colonial machinery of control. Both former DVM students of the University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences Uthal, were forcibly disappeared by security personnel from Apsar Turbat last night. Since their disappearance, their families have been denied any information about their whereabouts leaving them trapped in the same uncertainty that countless Baloch families have endured for years. The state must immediately disclose their whereabouts and ensure their safe return. No claim of security can justify making people disappear outside the protection of law. The continued use of enforced disappearance against Baloch youth must be recognized for what it is: a colonial tactic of political control, not a legitimate means of governance.

The state is manufacturing a narrative in Turbat by bringing YouTubers, content creators and TikTokers to the forefront. This is state sponsored propaganda designed to manufacture a false image, control the narrative and conceal the reality on the ground.

While this propaganda machine operates, doctors, paramedics and other medical staff at Turbat Teaching Hospital were denied access to their own hospital and prevented from performing their duties. The harassment in Turbat extends beyond doctors and medical staff. Ordinary people are also being denied access and subjected to severe restrictions on their freedom of movement. Some senior doctors also faced intimidation and threats from security personnel. This is the reality behind the state’s carefully managed narrative.

The state cannot manufacture reality through YouTubers, TikTokers and content creators while silencing doctors ,medical workers and the public on the ground. Bringing influencers to Turbat to promote a controlled narrative does not erase the harassment, intimidation and restrictions.
